Good eve. Im 6 months pregnant and recently we got married for 1 month. I will be going to deliver 3 months from now, I want to ask about the registration of the baby. Is the hospital responsible for the baby's registration? and about the marriage contract they require, are they going to count the date of marriage from delivery? what are the possible consequences when they will find out pregnancy was done before marriage. Pls I need your advice. Thanks Good day everyone.I need your advice regarding this matter.Im 6 months pregnant when we finish the marriage. Is it possible to register the baby if the marriage certficate was done after 6 months of pregnancy. What are the possible solution we could do to register the baby here in UAE? And what are the possible consequences we might face when they found that pregnancy came first before marraige, THank you for your replies

Probably depends a bit on where you are from, what your religion is, where you deliver. Hate to say it but those things matter. I'm a western expat, got married here at 7 months pregnant, delivered at American and didn't have any problems at all. thanks. how did you make the registration of your baby?

Have you just moved here? The medical is for HIV/Tuber/Hepatitis - you don't have a pregnancy test for your medical...only the maids are tested for that. However I rem you have a chest xray and that might be harmful for your unborn child. Do try to get married asap and you can get married I the church here..good luck. Dont leave it longer than 2 wks from now. I don't think the OP is referring to the Visa medical. I am assuming she is Muslim, hence the marriage in court with the customary blood tests, perhaps some of the other Muslim ladies on here can advise, perhaps marriage in another Islamic country may be the answer, unless a civil marriage (in Cyprus perhaps) would be sufficient to protect against legal difficulties. Good luck Op, not the best situation to find oneself in. Im a Christian, but my boyfriend is a Muslim. So as the court procedure, we need medical exam for marriage. Just worried when court will find out Im pregnant, just wanna ask why I should not leave it longer than 2 weeks from now? thank you

thank you for your replies. Yes Im a resident here in UAE currently working. My boyfriend is a Muslim so we're getting married in the court, they require medical that is base on Ministry of Health format from government hospital. Im bothered if pregnancy will be tested there. and if found out, would they still allow us to get married or will be imprisoned as Im hearing from a lot of people. thank you
