That is because there are only 13 registered charities in the UAE, all government run. No other charity can advertise or fund raise. The big charities are those who sell the Iftar tickets for example during Ramadan or run gala dinners, such as Red Crescent, Dar al Ber. All monies collected must be accounted for through these charities and all are through the government. What exactly are you looking to do - I have tonnes of contacts and maybe the ladies on here can help. Last week I gave 3 bin bags of old clothes to the Philippines typhoon effort. Ok but that's govt orgs where money is changing hands, if you read my previous thread I'm talking about a board whr we can pool our info, on donating our time, our compassion, our love and humanity perhaps donating previously owned items to those in need.... Charity work, non profit. I could be on the wrong site all together. thank you.

Hi Zinger, We have a charities page on our website, as AnonDubai has said, we also have a communities events page where we post charity events. If you have an event that you would like us to post or a charity you would like us to do a write up for we will. However it has to be a registered charity. Warm regards, EW Admin Thank you I understand.

Donating and collecting are very different, my question is HOW do you hear of community efforts and various calls to help, it seems only the big charities ever get a mention. edited by Zinger on 16/09/2013

Zinger, it would be impossible to prove the origin of the infestation. You just have to accept that you don't have a case, either get the offending bed treated or get rid of it and put it down to rotten luck. It's not even the entire bed, it's just the headboard, I've gone over the bed and we have slept in the bed minus the headboard with no problem

No it wouldn't, 1 I don't have them anywhere else in the house 2 Never had them until we noticed these odd bites a few weeks after the bed was deleverd 3 have not had a single bite since moving the offending headboard outside which is infested with bugs. I asked the company to send an inspector to have a look and they refused to do that, how can they tell me the bugs haven't been transferred from the labour camps during the assembling prossess, manufacturing complex are located in Al-Quoz

Has he been evaluated for tongue-tie by someone familiar with posterior tongue-tie (which are easily missed unless you really know what you're looking for)? This can cause choking.
