There are a number of beautiful beaches in Vietnam for you to visit. They vary from place to place to how inviting and pleasant they are. There are a number of beach clubs that can be visited throughout the country as a day visitor who keep their beaches clean and the water is safe to swim in. There are also some beautiful, natural and untouched public beaches that are a must to visit!
Beaches near Hanoi
Hanoi is not the ideal area in Vietnam to find natural and untouched beaches, your best bet is to fly to the south or central part of the island. Saying that there are a couple of (artificial) beautiful beaches to visit in Ha Long Bay:
Bai Chay Beach (Quang Ninh) – This is a very popular and busy beach resort situated in the centre of Ha Long Bay. Bãi Cháy is an artificial sandy beach which measures 500 metres in length.
Tuan Chau Beach (Ha Long) – The Tuan Chau Sea lies on Tuan Chau Island, overlooking Ha Long Bay. The beach here is again artificial but it is very clean and a beauty in itself. The beach spans 2km in length.
Beaches near Danang
The south central coast beginning right beneath Hai Van Pass claims the most beautiful beaches in Vietnam without a doubt. The stretch of beaches can be found within a 15-minute drive south of Danang Airport.
My Khe - nicknamed "China Beach" in English by American and Australian soldiers during the Vietnam War. It is so beautiful with an endless stretch of white sandy beach with clear sea water. It is situated 6km east from Danang – a wonderful place to visit for pure relaxation.
Furama Resort – “The 5* Getaway” – A beautiful resort very close to Danang with a gorgeous stretch of beach and a wonderful spa to sample if you fancy indulging!
Address: Vo Nguyen Giap Street, Khue My Ward, Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City, Vietnam

Non Nuoc Beach – “Claims to be one of the world’s most beautiful beaches” and this statement is not an exaggeration at all. With its un-polluted clear blue water and crystal white sand it is pure paradise. The beach is owned by the Non Nuoc Tourism Company and also houses three premier resorts along the coast. A popular tourist destination but this should not put you off, it is worth a visit for sure!
Son Tra Peninsula (Monkey Mountain) – Situated 10km from the centre of Danang – it is an idyllic setting with mountains surrounding the area. It is a great place for diving with amazing coral reefs and beautiful fish to explore. There are exotic animals and birds in their natural habitat to see, it is a wonderful place to escape and feel like you’re in paradise!!
Beaches near Hoi An
The beaches near Hoi An span 45km in length and stretch from the Bonn Estuary south of Hoi An to Monkey Mountain north of Danang. There are many beaches along this stretch to visit; here are a few we would recommend:
Cua Dai Beach – Cua Dai beach is located in the area of Cam An Ward, about 4km to the north-east of Hoi An Town. Scattered with many palm trees for a mix of both perfect sun and shade, it is a fantastic stretch of beach. It is frequented by both locals and tourists with amenities on the shore to make it easy to spend the day there with no hassle.
Hoi An Beach Club – “It is an ideal place for tourists who enjoy relaxing at the seaside, visiting the World Heritages such as Hoi An Ancient town, My Son holy land... and exploring other places of interest in the surrounding areas. Hoi An Beach resort consists of many villas that are characterized by the style of traditional Vietnamese village. It has 121 rooms equipped with modem comforts and other services.”

An Bahn Beach - situated 5km to Hoi An, it is known as a local beach as it has no hotels or resorts attached to it yet – perfect if you are a looking for a quiet area with great bamboo seafood restaurants & bars scattered along it!
Nha Trangn – Is a coastal city on the south central coast situated between Danang and Ho Chi Minh City. Nha Trang is well known for its beaches and scuba diving and has developed into a popular destination for international tourists, attracting large numbers of backpackers, as well as more affluent travellers on the Southeast Asia circuit; it is already very popular with Vietnamese tourists, with Nha Trang Bay widely considered as among the world's most beautiful bays.
Beaches near Ho Chi Minh City
Ho Chi Minh City itself is not the place for beaches as it’s situated in the middle of the south of the country but the beaches on the coast close by are beautiful and a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of the city. Here are our top picks:
Mui Ne Coast - Mũi Né is a coastal resort town in the Bình Thuận Province of the Southeast region of Vietnam. Mũi Né has many resorts along the beach, as well as restaurants, bars and cafes. Mũi Né is a popular destination for Russian tourists and therefore many of the restaurants and resorts are Russian-owned. Mũi Né Beach is a popular tropical beach with strong sea breezes which makes it very popular for kitesurfing and windsurfing.
Vung Tau beaches – a popular destination for locals and expats from Ho Chi Minh city to ‘get away from it all’ for a weekend break but it is not one for tourists hunting out the beautiful beaches of Vietnam. Don’t get us wrong, it is still beautiful but can be quite ‘untidy’ at times with litter and lots of signs exclaiming ‘dangerous swimming’.
Phu Quoc Island only a 50 minute flight from Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Phu Quoc is becoming well known for white sandy beaches, untouched natural surroundings, the easy going and relaxed atmosphere, friendly locals, and fantastic scuba diving and snorkeling. It is a must to visit for sure!
