Paying electricity bill
Buildings in Baku either have a pre or post paid electricity connection.

Prepaid meters – the prepaid meters should be paid for in advance. They work with smartcards. The smartcard reader is free of charge. It is the responsibility of the tenant to ensure that there is enough credit on the smart card in order for the electricity.

Postpaid meters – At the end of each month the meter will be read and you will be sent a bill for the electricity. If you do not pay this bill within one month of receiving it your electricity may be cut off.
