It is for this reason that visiting art galleries will help you get to know Baku, it's political climate now and in the past and also it's people and their heritage. The private art gallery “Qis Qalasi” was opened in 1999. The gallery has a total area of 250 sq. m. and consists of three exhibition halls with modern design. Visitors of “Qis Qalasi” have a wonderful opportunity to trace the development of Azerbaijani art in 20th century. Works of artists of all generations are presented here. There are exhibitions and sales here once in 30-40 days.

One of the most beautiful galleries of our capital city is located on the 4th floor of the Museum Centre. The Art Gallery, comprising five halls (overall area 400 m2, exhibition area 700 m2), is equipped with all the necessary light and sound equipment. It is unique and original, because the exhibits are lit by natural daylight from above.

The «Beyuk Gala, 19» Art Gallery was opened in 1989. From the time, it has developed, and now every year this Art Gallery holds tens of exhibitions, among them not only art, but also commercial ones. In 2012, to fulfill the obligations assumed by the improvement in infrastukturasının art, create commercial-based Spaces of Contemporary Art "Summer" has established an exhibition hall. All profits from the sale ones are apportioned between the artist CREATE Contemporary Art Space, Create Space for Contemporary Art, the share of the profit is used to fund the programs.

As the exhibition site for Baku Arts Centre, Yeni Gallery marks the latest step in a succession originally begun in 1986, when a group of artists in Azerbaijan established a collective. This group formed to implement collaborative projects and develop cultural and humanitarian content under the name Association of Creative Youth of Azerbaijan. In 1988, the Association of Creative Youth of Azerbaijan initiated the Baku Arts Centre, which became the hub of all creative activity in Azerbaijan.

When it comes to graffiti, or more generally to street art, a bulk of stereotypes and myths embraces the consciousness of every man loyal to mass media.
