The truth about selfies is that only 1 in about 200 will be insta-worthy. Okay, we totally made that up, but the struggle of taking a good selfie is R-E-A-L.
Sometimes it's the angle, sometimes it's the light and other times your makeup is to blame. Here are 4 makeup mistakes to avoid if what you're after is a fab selfie:
1. Insta-brows
If you have been following us for a while, you know our hate for insta-brows. Up-close and personal, insta-brows can look like a work of art, however, they look downright comical and extremely fake win full face selfies.

2. Over-highlighting
2016 was the year of the highlighter. Girls are obsessed with their highlight being on fleek, but more often than not over-highlighting can make you look like a disco ball.

3. Over-powdering
Applying too much powder can make your skin look dull and flat. Apply powder only under the eyes and on the T-zone area.

4. Not focusing on lashes
If there is one thing you should overdo when it comes to your makeup - let it be your lashes. Use an eyelash curler to open up the eyes and then go nuts with the mascara. Your selfies will thank you.
