Have you ever woken up after a good night's sleep and felt like you've never been so exhausted in your life? or that getting out of bed is the most difficult thing every morning? Take comfort in the fact that you are not alone.
Sleeping for 8 hours is a must, but sometimes even when you get the required hours of sleep you can feel lethargic and fatigued. Here are 7 surprising reasons why.
1.Your iron levels are too high/too low
Consult your doctor and get bloodwork done to determine what your iron levels are. Either extreme (high/low) leads to the feeling tired all the time.

2. You are dehydrated
Various studies over the years have shown that dehydration leads to low levels of energy and mood swings. Drink that water!

3. You're stressed out
The stress hormone, cortisol, is at its highest in the morning and lowest in the evening. By being stressed all the time, the natural rhythm of the cortisol hormone is completely disrupted leading to the early morning exhaustion that many people face.

4. Semi-somnia
This is a new age problem. You've probably heard of insomnia - the inability to sleep at night. However, thanks to the technology addiction many of us face, we have semi-somnia. Semi-somnia is when you are physically asleep, but your brain is still active because of over-stimulation like staring at a screen all day. Because your brain doesn't get the required rest, you feel tired.

5. Your diet is imbalanced
There is no shortcut for this one. Your diet must contain a balance of veggies, proteins and carbs or else you WILL feel chronically tired.

6. You're not exercising/ you're exercising way too much
Exercise can completely rejuvenate you, but overdoing it can cause physical stress. It's all about balance.

7. You're a negative Nancy
A bad attitude and bad thoughts do more damage than you think. Constantly worrying yourself and thinking of the worst that can happen takes A LOT of mental energy and is probably why you are dozing off in your morning meetings.
