In May 2015, 25-year-old Carly Bernard was bedridden. It was merely an ankle fracture, but when she couldn't support her 407-pound body on crutches, she knew she has to make a change.
Carly was overweight since her childhood and had tried crash dieting before her fracture. However, once her ankle healed, she joined Weight Watchers and got herself a personal trainer.
The weight loss journey has by no means been easy. Initially, Carly would get breathless working out for just 5 minutes. However, slowly and steadily she built her endurance and stamina.
She also cut out soda and fast food because of which she dropped the first 50 lbs rather quickly.
Today, Carly prioritises health and fitness. Even though she does not have a goal weight in mind, she wants to continue to lose weight till she feels her fittest best.
You go, girl!
