Why Sleeping In Makeup Is The Worst Thing You Can Do To Your Skin
Every time you sleep in makeup your face ages by 2 weeks!

You know the drill. It has been a long night of partying and you've gotten home at 4 am. All you can think of is crashing on your bed and the last thing you want to do is take your makeup off.
However, this is probably one of the worst things you can do to your skin and there is science to back it up. At night, your skin cells are trying to regenerate and exfoliate off, so leaving a layer of makeup on creates a barrier that can lead to clogged pores and acne. Your skin, just like you, needs some time off to rejuvenate and this time is when you sleep. You are doing your skin no favours by blocking it with a barrier of foundation, blush, and highlighter! Additional problems like eye infections and premature wrinkles can also happen if you sleep in your makeup.
Important tip: Always keep a packet of makeup remover wipes by your bedside. Even though these will not take everything off - you will at least get a basic cleanse out of them on the nights you are feeling extra lazy. These are our favourite makeup remover wipes:
1. Neutrogena - Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes - Hydrating
The absolute numero uno when it comes to makeup remover wipes are the Neutrogena - Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes. These bad-boys take all your makeup off effortlessly (even waterproof mascara) and leave your skin hydrated.

2. MAC Cosmetics - Wipes
Even though these are not very budget friendly, these wipes have a two-fold purpose: the smooth side takes off waterproof eye makeup easily, and the rougher side gives a good exfoliating cleanse to the whole face.
