Are you able to get close enough to put her into a cage? Let me know where your complex is and I will come and get her and take her to the vet.

I'm not interested in grades or academic excellence. I'm not interested in sporting prowess or facilities that make my eyes water. I want a school that respects the whole child, understands that learning is about more than a letter on a page, recognizes that kids are different and have different needs. I need teachers who understand and appreciate all types of kids and don't "not see" the introverts and the academically average. A school that appreciates and perpetuates kindness by demonstrating it to their kids and by upholding it as the most valued trait a kid could have. Any suggestions?

Mr Butlers soda maker at Lulu Barsha -near the fish section. 228dhs and comes with one full gas canister and one bottle. They will refill the gas cannisters at lulu for you. I also bought a spare gas canister for 79dhs. Grew up on soda streams and this is exactly the same. The one at Galleries L. was 799dhs

Thanks halfmoon. Does your son enjoy it at Oasis? How old is he? How do you find it?

Nad al Sheba vets will take in injured wild birds for a donation. I've taken quite a few over there that my cats have caught.

Al Safa Vet has turned into Umm Sequeim Vet on Beach Rd now. Some legal issue which required them to shut down one place and open another. I think the Safa Vet in Mirdiff will also be closed. The same crew at Umm Sequeim Vets are still great..would recommend

Maybe now they will stop slandering the pilot and co pilot and get some actual evidence. Can't imagine the nightmare these families have gone through. So sad..

I hope things work out well for you OP. Would those in the know be able to share how and where and with whom to get your child 'tested/diagnosed' for autism in Dubai? I have some concerns of my own about my little man. Thanks

JPS1 can I ask what agency you used? You are obviously happy with the maid they provided. Thanks

Am looking for someone to sharpen my knives. Tried Tavola and they only do the brands they sell. Tried the number below but seems to be disconnected. Does anyone have a knife sharpening guy they can recommend? Thanks

Hi Bella. Would she be any good with cats? I have 5 cats and young kids but we have room for a dog - an older one would be ideal. My cats have never lived with a dog though. Not sure how that would work?

I would love to foster and have a lovely big garden but have 5 cats who have never met a dog and am concerned about how to merge the two. Can it be done harmoniously? TIA

Have used both Scott and Annie and both are great. Knowledgeable, gentle with the animals, easy to talk to and clear and informative around the problem. Highly recommend.

My lovely, very expensive Swiss kitchen knives are suddenly and mysteriously (I'm trying not to blame the maid) very blunt. No amount of my amateur sharpening seems to be doing any good. Does anyone know somewhere I can take them to be sharpened where they won't be ruined? Thanks

SueB, she does spray vertically but also on tables and shoes, etc. You're right, the pee doesn't smell as bad as boy's pee but enough of it sprayed around smells. I'm sure she would love to be an only cat but no one I know will take her because she is so aggressive. I feel like I've tried everything and persevered for three years and spent time and money - a lot - on her but am not seeing any change or even progress on her part. I guess I'm just at the end of my rope with her. I understand that she is just doing normal cat things but it is impacting on my life and my kids in a vey negative way unfortunately. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks very much..

I am a cat lover. In my life I have had 8 cats. I now have 4- one 16 year old from NZ and a 3 year old, a one year old and a six month old - all Dubai cats. Over the years, I have had my other 16 year old Kiwi cat pass away from kidney failure and had 2 Dubai cats just disappear without a trace causing me great heartache....I still look for them when I'm out. One of my cats, the 3 year old, has been a problem since we got her. She is aggressive, a bully and extremely territorial. Because of this, I presume, she sprays everywhere and has done so for the past three years. I have taken her to the vet and had her checked - no health issues. I have tried a calm collar and the plug in calming stuff - nothing. I have tried a cat behaviorist, lots of love and affection, threats and water sprays, locking her out, locking her in the bathroom - nothing works!! I have young children and there is cat pee everywhere...on the kitchen table, in the bed, on the kids' toys, the carpets, the fridge, microwave...everywhere!! I'm at my wit's end!! I know no one will want her so finding her a new home is not an option - unless anyone out there needs a challenge? I don't know what to do. Is euthanasia an option? If so, is there a vet who would do it or is it ethically unsound? I don't hate her but I don't love her either. I am just so, so, so sick of the pee everywhere I look....and sit and sleep and eat... Please help!!
