Hiya, i've taken formula btls/cartoons when my son was 5mths old, BA. Most recent flights i've taken up to 8 cartoons of normal cow's milk and had no problem, all they asked was to try the milk (not all cartons) at the gates which i then transfered to a btl. I also travelled with powder and boiled cooled water and no issues. The alternative would to buy it after go past security. BA had SMA las time we flew with them. Good luck

Dear Dubai71, pls don't blame yourself, if it wasn't meant to be this time maybe it'll happen next time, just don't give up hope, no matter what other people will say, it'll make it go away, just take a day at time. More or less for 10 years i've tried for baby, I've had 3 mc at 14/15wks and a stillbirth at 24+wks. I now have a handsome boy who's a handfull at 2.5ys. U never forget it (to put it bluntly, sorry), but if you are strong (which sounds like u are) it'll be easier as the time passes by. Never loose hope, and one day u'll surprise urself and u'll be holding that longed baby. Someone once told me, if the sky is dark think of the sun and it'll shine on you and make u smile :) Hang in there, take care xx

thank u moonshine for ur feedback. I have decided to visit DBS, and got their school pack and it said they've gone from acceptable to good, on the authorities report. The student who shown me around was very polite and answered all the questions i had. Dawn74, i can't comment on the other school, but i have requested an appointment to go and see them, i guess its just better to go and judge the place for yourself, if u see what i mean :) good luck wiv the "hunting"

Thank you both for your replies, i have one more question pls. M you mention we can go to the listed clinics in the insurance plan (we have insurance) but i don't have the list of clinics thats why i just logged into the insurances web and the only 2 clinics came up was the mideast and london dubai and they are far from where we live, so i think i'll just go to one that is near us, pay and claim it back. Did u ask the insurance for such list?.. thanks

Hi, just found out Im pregnant yippeee, but I don't know where to start, i mean in terms of: where to register, doctors, hospital. I was told that you have to be part of network, then you look for doctors, register etc?....in the UK you just go to your GP and local hospital if needed, simple here it all just seems so confusing :( I looked on insurance web and they show Mideast Polyclinic and Dubai london clinic as direct providers, does this mean i can just register with them and take from there. Has anyone heard of these clinic and are they any good?... Any advice step by step on how to do this, pls...really appreciate only been here 3 months. thanks a million

Hi reva, we enrolled my son for the current term at kids world, (location is very convenient) and so far he seems happy. At first we thought its quite small place and he might get bored quickly, but so far so good. Having said that, there's some things i see (when you drop the kids you might find the girls having their tea instead of giving full time attention to the kids) that i feel its wrong but at that time (8 to 8.30am)they call it the free play time before starting the daily activities. Altougth we are happy we will move him to a bigger nursery just because i think it may be more structered in preparation for school (my son is nearly 3). How old is your little one?..good luck with the choice

Hi, when we first came to DXB in Dec 10 to look for accommodation we've covered the marina and JLT side, we had viewings with the estate agents but in the end we just walked into the buildings and asked security if any available places to view, loads of buildings listed below were full or we didn't like...in the end we settled with the (sand looking) building beside Bonnington hotel, its known as J2...we also have a 2 y old son, the kitchen is separate from the living area, the rooms are big, each room is ensuite, the pool can be a bit putting off when windy weather but you can use it at noon, cause its shaded...oh and its a new building, maybe worth looking into it i think still quite a lot available, u can just walk in and ask security to show u round. Good luck with H.Hunt and the move. JB
