Hello Zephyr, I also am on a budget so did you find a clinic which has a good offer? I am searching to start my underarms and bikini line. My concerns would be the price, hygiene and safety. I was recommended to go to Vilafortuny on Al Wasel and The Royal Doctors in Jumeirah. One of my friends goes to Vilafortuny where she pays 700 for her underarms and the other goes to Royal Doctors where she pays 500 per session and after her 6 session any additional session is free of charge. I will look into both clinics since my friends are satisfied with the results so far, but if you found a better deal please share.[/quote HI, Carol81, Silkor is giving 6+ 2 free sessions for my full face which works out to 450 per session, which is a good price i think. Place is v professional , clean but always booked for appts. so need to book in time.

thank you gladys and horizonmum2. I called cooper n they said 1000 for a single session. I would be broke at that rate soon enough ! checked with euromed and there also price is similar. So guess will end up going to Silkor or Aster or maybe just wait for another deal for International Aesthetic Medical Centre on Al Wasl Road ! Pfarah: did u finalise on any place yet ?

Having gone through the numerous threads on Laser Hair Removal on this forum, I am still not able to decide which centre I should go to. I used to go to Kaya before but the results were too slow n they have become pricey also. Then after a long gap of a year went to K-medi based on reviews here but after the doctor left, and management changed I dont feel like going there. Especially after the last visit I seem to have grown more hair ! I have shortlisted Euromed (rebecca treston) and Silkor. Unfortunately Euromed seems little on the higher side and Rebecca does not do the laser personally so I am left with Silkor as an option. I went for the consultation and the therapist (or doctor, i dont remember now) said that for wheatish to dark skin there maybe some rough patch on the skin (i am doing the face) which will disappear after 2-3 days. This is what worries me, else the price fits my budget. So i just want to know did anyone have any negative experiences with Silkor for Laser Hair removal ?

Hi JPS1 I used to pay 400 AEd for one session full face but last time was 300 aed (I did not do forehead). I was looking fora price list but could not find it. Will let you know if I find you and will email you the list if you prefer. Even laser hair removal is not permanent, especially if there is a hormonal problem (which is my case). But the hair takes long time to grow back, sometimes even years after a few sessions. Hi Cigarra, So did u do from the same Al Borj centre? (I used to go to Kaya but now for full face it seems v expensive compared to the rates u mentioned .) Let me know thanks.

Thank you ladies. I have now found an agency that charges 25/hr. I will now happily give the maid herself a big tip, which will go directly to her, not her greedy employers. Hi Irooni....wud u mind sharing the name of your agency? Am looking for one myself...thanks.

I'm thinking about changing the agency I use for my part time maid as they are becoming more unreliable. Does anyone have any experience good or bad with dial-a-maid or Right maids? Which agency were u using ?

Thank you Louise...I have been in touch with them already but was wondering if anyone has had any direct experience with them . There seems to be a 3rd organisation also offering the same , HNI.... was wondering which would be the best place to go to... regards.

My husband had just been to US and on enquiring the price we found thats it more or less pretty much the same...better to buy in Dubai as you get the local warranty n service (when required!)

We had shifted when I was pregnant, and my DH had booked us in a hotel nearby for the first night after the shifting so that I was more relaxed and not under any tension. We had hired a mover and packer who had done an excellent job of packing, unpacking and keeping relevant things in their proper place (books, shoes, kitchen stuff etc) so all I had to do was just arrange the personal items like clothes, etc. which didnt take much time ...If you have an option would advise you to shift before your delivery as maybe you wouldnt want to expose your baby to the dust and chaos associated with a relocation. Also you would not be able to participate in it at all as a new baby would demand your constant attention...All the best !

We stayed @ westin n loved the place too...very beautiful n romantic n all that...but if u would want to access the beach just make sure there's enough water cos when we were there, the water had receded n the beach was muddy. Then when we went to the underwater zoo in pantai cenang, we found lot of hotels there, including some really good ones n they had access to lovely blue sea where one cud do so many water based fun stuff unlike the westin. so depends on what you want to do...otherwise Westin is highly recommended, especially for the food, ambience and also proximity to Kuah town.
