Perhaps your daughter could try one of the CACHE courses offered by Early Years Educational Services in Knowledge Village - and perhaps look at working in the Early Years sector? It combines both knowledge based work and also work experience at a Nursery or School.

Hi - I would say a good start would be to talk to Sarah Rogers at Early Years Education Services. She runs all the CACHE courses here and has a team of early years experts who can help you! You can call her on 04 4465820.

Speak to Cecile De Scally - she was brilliant, and answered all my questions patiently and provided different ways of dealing with weaning, stopping nursing, etc. 050 6947938.

I had a bad experience with Dr. Shiva. But I would recommend Dr Samah (sp?) she works out of the Medcare Clinic on Beach Road.

If you give in and offer smarties you will be reinforcing the behaviour - ie: not eating, and showing that what you say and what you do are totally different. At least ,he knows that you are not just saying something and then doing something different! Give him lots of cuddles and explain they ate their dinner and that is what the reward was for. Sadly this time he did not eat and so will not be being rewarded. But if he eats tomorrow night he too will get smarties! Stay strong - you know that what you are doing is beneficial to him in the long term!

Hi, I flew several times, and all was ok - I had a check up with Obs before I flew and she issued a 'Fit to Fly' certificate. Good luck!

Cecile is excellent - she helped me sort my LO out too! Do not know where we would have been without her!

Start by contacting your local hospital and asking them what to do and where to go - mine were really helpful! It is worth a try!!!

Best advice I got was ginger biscuits - and to never allow myself to get hungy - so graze healthily throughout the day!

I did take my LO to Cairo at 9 months. It was ok - did not really leave the hotel too much with him. We had a private car, but no seatbelt - think I took my carry car seat and used that. But I do agree it is very polluted and if your LO is susceptible to coughs, etc. it is not a good idea. I have also been to Delhi on many occassions - I found Delhi easier than Cairo to deal with! I had my LO privately in an NHS hospital in the UK with very few problems. There was no private hospital in my area that did maternity care, so the option was available through my insurance to pay privately to use the local NHS hospital. So I registered privately with one of the obstetricians and they oversaw my care, all of which was paid for by the insurers - so all above board! Had the most amazing DR and amazing care. Was 110% satisfied!

I would choose a 'good' Nursery over a Nanny anytime! With qualified staff - a qualified nurse, trained first aiders. A nursery offers far more peace of mind!
