haven't made it to malik's yet but discovered that the 'Bookshop' store mawijili on route to city center had the basics wool needles buttons and sewing kits, machine sewing needles.

hi been in ad for just over a week, price is similar to uk, for most things my adice would be check what you will get a a work package, allowance for house, car ect then sort out schooling for the costs. best of luck. mrs b <em>edited by mrs b on 08/08/2011</em>

hi ellene i dont mind the questions, i'm still asking loads myself, i am on my second week here so i am still finding my way aroun al ain. so far i have found my way to the jimi mall and the one in alain, i like to shop!! my two chlildren are boy 11 and girl eight, they like the warmth but find that with little to do, because of ramadam, in the day they get restless so we go out in the evening with hubby. would love to meet for coffee anytime let me know when your able and we're try to find somewhere we both know. mrs b.

when do you arrive, new here myself, still finding my feet. i discovered you need light stuff to wear but now and then the air con in some places can make it feel chilled, yep chilled mrs b
