I think if your visa is issued from Abu Dhabi, you will need to do it there. My visa is issued from Sharjah and I had to go there to get it done.

That you so much JSheperd for taking the time to reply. We are leaving Dubai for 30 days. If we simply transfer her Visa... we were planning to send her on her Annual 30day Holiday while we are away, as that is when we Annually take ours (August). So, if we can not get her current Employer to release her early, we are willing to pay the one-way return ticket to Dubai at the end of August. In the event that her current Sponsor says No to an early release, do you know the steps or a place for me to find them once she is in the Philippines? Anyone...? Just be careful, when we found our housemaid, we let her go home for her holiday with the paperwork showing we were processing her visa. Immigration said she wud be allowed back in with this. However, when she got to the phillipines, the phillipino officials would not let her leave again until she completed mandatory training. We ended up spending a fortune getting her sorted out so she cud come back!!

Hey Cheche, She is ok, u just have to keep her in check. She tries it on alot. I just think i let her get away with too much. If I had set the rules from the beginning i dont think we wud be in this position. But her cleaning is outstanding!! if u r still interested let me know

Hello Leshell, it would be lovely to get together! I have read that there are loads of mum and baby groups and coffee mornings down that side, so I am quite looking forward to the move. This is no wind up, I promise. We had quite a 'conversation' yesterday. She has this notion in her head that the British let their housemaids do whatever they want. For instance, I have no issue with her going out in the afternoons, as long as her work is done, just let me know when she is leaving. She claims that her friends that work for British families just come and go as they please without having to say anything. In my opinion, I am responsible for you, therefore, I need to know when you are going out.
