Recently went to Platos in Atlantis and thought it was absolutely brilliant! Really nice food and service. We were absolutely stuffed! 120 Dhs each also so didn't think that was too bad and if you have entertainer family there is a voucher for Afternoon tea.:) We did this one as well it was great and they even gave us a little take away box for all our leftovers!

Ying Yang has good massages but it is a very basic place. If you want something special i would recommend Angasana in Dubai Marina

How about some bootcamp classes to change your exercise pattern up a bit? They have them all over Dubai and work out much cheaper than a personal trainer. I attend the ones that are organized by Original fitness, check them out.

Maybe you scared him off when you asked him to move in, but if he really wanted to make it work he would. Move on and meet other people.

Due to popular demand I have come back for an update, happy to report that things are going well and would like to thank all you ladies for giving me that extra push. If I didnt flirt that balantly it would have never gone anywhere, the only bad part is that now I cant find a good physio anywhere in Dubai but then again i might be biased ;)

I had a similar issue and ended up getting a blood test, turns out I had a B12 deficency you get a shot and I felt like a new person the next day. I usually go to the doctors at the Dubai London Clinic, best thing is to get a blood test and go on from there.

So we went to the Boardwalk for a lovely dinner on Friday night, it was casual but has a nice setting at the same time. I had a great time and I got a text the next day confirming that he had a nice time as well, I think its my turn to ask him out this time around! edited for bad grammer! edited by knadia on 22/05/2011

I would never mention the post on EW ever, men just dont get these kind of things and if he ever finds out i would be mortified. brokenheart- I'm Canadian and he is South African. As for the venue it dont want it to be very high end because I really just want to have a good time and talk. I have thought of a few places but I will just let him decide, let the man do some work! edited by knadia on 19/05/2011

Ladies, so sorry for not updating any sooner. It’s been a crazy week with work. I had an appointment last Wednesday where he recommended a different physio at another clinic. I was a bit surprised at that but then he mentioned that if he is going to ask me for my number I really shouldn’t be associated with him professionally in any manner ;) We exchanged numbers, but he asked me out for a coffee when I was leaving the session..the date is tomorrow !!

Update: I had my appointment yesterday and I asked him if he is here with his gf to which he said no and confirmed that he is single. We also talked about our weekend plans but unfortunately i am travelling for work all of next week and leave on friday so i didnt take the conversation any further. He did mention that he visits the area where i work often for lunch and maybe he will bump into me soon :) edited by knadia on 27/04/2011

I didn't read the whole thread and felt jumping in ... Enjoy the now (this is why we call it the "present") and go for it! I have learnt life is too short to ponder, you don't even need to wait until your last appointment or whatever time you feel is "right" (or whenever that may be!). Follow your heart, ask him out for a coffee, a movie, a drink or whatever you feel like. Yes you will have butterflies, and yes isn't that the most amazing feeling ever? To know you have given 100% of yourself to what matters truly to you! Rules? What rules????? The only rule that stands is to take action for what makes us truly happy and fulfilled. xxxx ETA spelling ... edited by Quizzme on 22/04/2011 Love what you wrote :)

Well, not sure I'd recommend the place by Irish Village (just to the left of the pub) - went there the other night with DH and the hygiene of the place was a lot to be desired. Seat cushions all covered in bird poo and dirty cutlery, chipped plates, etc. I was surprised that they could get away with it. I meant to post something here on the forum and ask if anyone had similar experiences? In reply to your post - as mentioned, The Fish and Chip Room is good at the Marina and have also heard that the Irish Village (the pub itself) does nice F&C's! Not sure what part of town you live in though... It was awful when we went the food was uncooked and when I complained to the staff they could not care less. I like mirdiff fish and chips but its out of the way for people who live in new dubai.

No, no, no. Seriously, you cannot have anything other than a professional relationship with him until you are no longer his patient. He would be breaking every rule in the book. Wait a little while after you have been discharged and get in touch with him then. At the moment you are still his patient and in that sense, you are in a position of vulnerability and he is in a position of power. Anything outside of the patient / therapist relationship would be inappropriate. He could be struck off. Don't do anything to compromise his career and his future. There are no "if's" and "but's" here, the professional ethics and code of conduct are crystal clear. Sorry! thank you for your honesty you make valid points.

i would never jeopordize anyones career no matter how strong the attraction and he seems like a sensible enough guy not to do himself either. As mentioned previously i only have a few session left and the only time i would ask him out for a coffee would be on my last session which technically would not make him my therapist anymore.

If hes a really good physio, and you don't want to get rid of him, wait till your treatment is over then go for it! That way you have nothing to lose and if he does say no (hope he doesn't) then theres no shame as you dont have to face him again! Good luck :) Thanks! he is very good at his job but i can always find another physio ;)

i love how you think sueb!! Before all that i will ask him casually if hes allowed to stay friends with ex patients as I dont want to cause any issues with the job. jwal- i used to think that but life is too short to sit an wait and the rules have done nothing for me!

I have had the same issues, does she have the new Bold 2 its just a disappointing phone compared to the previous ones. I used some of the suggestions made here and it helped a bit http://www.bbgeeks.com/blackberry-guides/saving-your-blackberry-battery-life-88495/ Also, my battery used to drain in 3 hours the first time i started using it took it back to the shop and they upgraded the software ( it was an internal issue) that helped a lot. edited by knadia on 21/04/2011

My two pennorth....at the moment you aren't going out with him and assuming that he won't ask you out (becuase he's your phisio) then the only way you can change this situation is if you DO ask him out!! If he says no, then the situation hasn't changed, you're still not going out with him so you're no worse off than you were before. Probably fair to say you'd be looking for a new physio though :)! I only have experience of doing this once, 14 years ago....with the man who has been Mr Suze for 12 years!!! Best of luck and let us know what you decide and what happened! aww suze63 thats a lovely story. I have never done something like this before and as you say i have nothing to lose so I will pluck the courage and ask him to a coffee on my last session. If he does say no i might be disappointed but there are other physios out there :)

Just get a friend to call you and invite you on a double date, make sure the call is when you are in a session. Then you can say outloud, "how can I come on a double date without a date, lol" then when you put the phone down, he may offer......or he may need dragging. btw, are you pretty? haha vp, weird question i'm alright!

But what if another client is faster than her? llol.... than she loses her chance of woo'ing him, because of waiting for the last session, imagine she has another 20 sessions, haha... He will be be eating ice cream of someone else's belly.... nono ... Nadia, go for it! I only have a two sessions left. Im not worried about other clients but he has a super hot co-worker!

hmmmm.....If he's the best physio ever and you could not do without his professional services... wait until you don't need him anymore then ask him out. However, if he's a cr@p physio or you could replace him with another equally as good... GO FOR IT.. what have you got to lose? You can always find another physio;) hes a pretty darn good physio but i might be partial ;)

I would ask him if his wife or girlfriend live in Dubai as well, or some other sneaky question to find out if he has somebody....just to see what he would answer. If he has a partner than you can stop daydreaming at once. If he doesnt yeah, make a move....you live only once and life is to short for what ifs.... He has already asked me if i had a partner and i have never had the guts to ask him yet. Im definately being sneaky and asking him next time for sure. He does keep hinting that his weekends are boring and he needs to get out more.

Hhhmm.. tough one there... however, are you sure the flirting comes from his end too? please don't take it the wrong way..but maybe he's just trying to be nice? ask him if he's flirting with you? *in a flirty way* I asked a man out once.. as a friend first...then he ended up as DH!! heheh... so no harm i'd say... i hear you, i keep thinking about this as well because I really dont want to make a fool out of myself !
