If its urgent, why don't you try the new Medcare MOSH Ortho & Spine Hospital? It's near the original Medcare hospital next to Safa Park, on SZR.

For your needs I would suggest the upstairs private room of the Hard Rock Cafe at Festival City. It's inside, low budget and you get music thrown in. You can also close the doors for the speeches and the tv screens can run photo slide shows for you. The only catch is that you can't pre book on Thurs/Fri/Sat nights, so may not suit you if your birthday doesn't fall on a weeknight.

Thank you so much for your wonderful comments, this has been helpful. The main thing is that I now know that there is no point me doing any of this when I'm going into for a body scrub the day before the first event lol. I'm going to go for the spray tan. Fingers are crossed. Thanks so much girls....this was a great help x

Lee from St George Computers is back in town. Call him on 050 456 2821. You can search through old threads for past experiences. He left town for a while last year but is back. I've just passed on a computer that needs repair and his service was as good as it used to be.

My 8 year old wants to dress as a dog for her school parade and presentation next Sunday. I've rung Mr. Bens costumer shop out of pure desperation as I have no idea where to start. Unfortunately, they do not stock them. Can anyone suggest ways that I can make a dog costume, where I could buy one, or have one I could borrow of you? All suggestions for a terribly bad costume making mum are greatly appreciated!!!!

The easiest way will be for her to book her flights a travel agent in her country, who will then also organise her visa. Emirates also have an online visa application once she has bought her tickets online, she can apply. She their website for the details. These options will be far easier than you trying to work out the complicated sponsorship visas here.

Spinney's Motor City has the made up drinks in the aisle next to where the kids flavoured boxed milk is. Le Marche in the Ranches stock them in the organic food section. I've not looked for the powdered tins so not sure if they're there also.

Thanks for these ideas, I am going to do some hunting tomorrow. I definitely have no time to cook anything myself. We can't do a get together this year as one of the reasons is that everyone has so much travel leading up to the break, so a party is definitely out. Gifts left on everyone's desk as a surprise is my only option. I'm thinking of stacking boxes, but am open to other like ideas.

It is horrific that I have been here for 5 years and had no idea there is a cemetary in Al Quoz... Also have to ask what/where Daiso is?? Clearly I need to stop working so much and shop more often...................!

He said 100dhs absolute max max max max....so that means I have to be well under that. Hence the challenge as I reckon the boxes are that much! I like the idea of 3 boxes, one for the man, one for the wife and one for the kids. Where is Falcon Gallery? No time for anything Dan to be honest, life is beyond crazy at the moment. Have to be able to quickly buy everything and shove it together (with love lol...)

Thank you so much for these options. I don't want to say anything bad, but in my opinion the school is saying a shadow because the teacher is by herself with no assistant and is out of her depth. The school has grown by an extra 400 kids this year and they cut all the grade 2 assistants, leaving just one floating. I think the teacher is trying her best, but it is hard for her if my son runs off, she can't leave 24 kids alone in the room. The deputy head doesn't agree that a shadow is the best option, but feels she needs to support the teacher. Yes, Mrs Laughan, it is the change that he can't handle. Walking between class and Art for example, he can't handle the kids pushing etc. He is also baited. The teacher knows this, but admits she never can catch the culprit. My son is exploding in anger and she can't punish the person who threw the first stone so to speak. However, this is life and my son needs to learn how to handle these social issues. This is where I need help. Thanks for these contacts. I'm going to make more calls this morning.

Thanks for your replies. I am completely overwhelmed with all of this. The school is not helping, they say it is my responsibility. I've rung Kids First and am waiting for them to get back to me. We had him assessed there last year but never got off the wait list for any of the therapy they recommended. Not finding much help anywhere. Am also trying to get an appointment with Life Works Child Psychologist to see if he can get him to talk about why he is so sad all the time. Again, waiting. Am just feeling very out of my depth at the moment.

No I need a blank CD-R so that I can burn some music from iTunes onto it. It's for a party and I want to be able to get all the hours play onto one disc, so there is no gap in the middle of the party.

Thank you SO much for your help! The website link is exactly what I have been searching for. How long would each prayer last for? Is 15 minutes plus enough? CycloneT, thank you for your kind words.

Can someone please help me, I have tried searching the internet, but am concerned that I won't get the right informaton due to the daily time change with the moon. I am organising a large event where I have mostly muslim men. I need to ensure that their prayer times are ample when I draw up the agenda. I do not want to rush anyone, or miss the time. Can someone please tell me what times they would like to pray over the dates from 2nd of March to the 18th of March? How long should I allow for each prayer time to last? I would greatly appreciate your guidance as I would be mortified if I offended anyone at the event. Thanks in advance, Angela.
