40 is the new 30 :) dont let anyone or anything discourage. i was trying for a baby for almost 2 years but nothing happened. took 4 different clomid cycles but nothing. did lots of tests as well as my DH and there wasnt any fertility problems. i just thought thats it, lets do ivf. it worked! and 2 years after that i got pregnant naturally (no clomid no nothing). be patient and get some support. when i used to feel a bit worried i used to tell my self ' i am doing everything i can do, if it works great if it doesnt then im sure god know whats best for me' and oh... fertitlity friends forum was a very good source during my treatment. lots of baby dust ur way :) ;)

It will be very tough to find a british curr, school at this point, unless a new one opens now. Maybe try IB. Today EIS jumeirah started taking applications for next september. i believe u might have a good chance there, atleast they have british teachers..so wont be so bad.

Hi. I did my ivf exactly 3 years ago at the ARGC in london. I remember crying a couple of times, maybe because of the hormones or maybe because i was staying at my in-laws ( very very bad idea!). I was sedated for the egg retreival, but not the embryo transfer. I remember during the transfer i was so scared i would pee myself because just before the procedure i was asked to drink lots of water. The hardest time is the two week period before u do the pregnancy test....the longest two weeks ever. Dont worry, it will all be fine. I remember to take my mind off things, the few days after the transfer i was up and down oxford and bond street buying myself some treats. I flew back to dubai 6 days after the procedure.

claire im glad that u came to a decision :) i hate taking decisions i have been told by several ppl that being the oldest will be of benefit to him. i know that every month will make a big difference in his development skills, but i also agree each kid is different i have applied for my son in 2 school with cut off dates of september 15 and 2 schools with cut off date of august 31. so 2 schools for fs1 2012-2013, and 2 schools Fs1 2013-1014. if we get accepted for next year i will put him in school and see how he coops, if he struggles i will make him repeat the year. i think this is the best thing i can do, i dont want to have doubts or regrets later on

after a lot of research and asking around, Emirates is ur best option. its faster, easier and cheaper. but im not sure about the duration. i know usually u can extend a visa, but dont know about the cost the best thing is to call Emirates airlines. but as a word of advice, call atleast 3 times to compare answers. Last time i called to ask about a visa for my brother they sounded confused about canadians, i got different answers!

Hi Rebecca Been there for 6 months ( In Dubai for 5 years and love it) I have lived at The Marina, Mirdif and Garhoud and this is my favourite one so far :) Feels a little different from other places here don't you think? Was originally looking to live on the palm but we fell in love with this place. Also liked the look of JBR but it seams like utter chaos! i was going to live on the palm too but preferred the community here, especially for my little one.

Hi Claire. I had a similar issue with my DD. She turned 3 on September 8th last year and I let her start FS 1 then. She did pretty well in FS 1 but she struggled with some things as she was almost a year younger than many of the students in her class. She is now in FS 2 at the age of 4 and some children in her class are almost 6! Anyway, what I have decided to do is have her repeat FS 2 next year. That way she can still be in school but will catch up with her age group. It's a tough decision, but you know your child best and can make the right decision for her. Hi AnonDubai, I was wondering what school is ur little one going to? i am having some issues applying for some schools because my son turns 3 on september 1st of next year. i have been told that i have to wait another year to put him in FS1 :( im also wondering if i did find a school that would accept his application, should i let him start or wait the year?

The school arranged it but I had spoken to the KHDA previously about it. My DD is at one of the schools you listed. She started there last year in Reception; the only thing I can think is that they have tightened up the rules. [b'>was wondering how did the school arrange it? what did u do? did the khda help in anyway? now its too late for me to even put him on the waiting list for these school for next september[/b'>

DIA follows the IB curriculum, they have a cut off date in december. The British system is the only one on the 31st of August. the ministry has a cutt off date on 15th of sept.

im having the same problem. he just hates his cot, even though i turned it into a a bed and removed the rails (i added safe guards on the side). he now sleeps everynight on the sofa bed. its wide so when he turns around and does his acrobatic moves at night he has no obstacles. im sure theres a better way to solve this, he shouldnt sleep on the sofa bed forever!!

I also had my son through ICSI. he was born in september 09. i wanted to go back to my doctor for an embryo transfer last winter, so i called the clinic in the UK and they told me how the procedure works and everything. they also asked me for some blood tests, so i called my doctor here to book an appointment , and just a couple of days before i went in i found out i was pregnant!!! i was surprised and thrilled, never thought it can happen naturally. but i lost my baby after 4 months. i gave my body a rest and now im trying all over again. i am giving myself sometime before i go back for an embryo transfer. hope it works naturally. im not loosing hope.

Hello, The cut off day at British schools is August 31st. My sons bday is 1st of september, so because of this one day he will have to wait an extra year to be admitted into any british school. it brakes my heart because all of his friends will start school a year before him. On the other hand you can have a look at IB curriculum schools or american ones, they have a cut off date mid december i believe, so that would work fine for u.

@suznuz: why r u taking the clexane in ur arms and thighs? Did u try ur tummy? Its less painful and easier to hide the bruises that way. Ask ur doctor. I had to take the clexane for 7.5 months....so i tried it in a few places, stomach was much better for me. And i also think that the doctor or nurse in the uk told me it works better that way.

U will find very good school for 25-30k for kg1, but they then go up to 60-75k as they get older. Its crazy! To be honest i do have my doubts about the khda report. My friends kid goes to wellington international and this year only he had 4 different classroom teachers, the last one was even an assistant. She also told me that they took the islamic studies class in the music room sitting on the floor because they dont have a proper class or something.

Ladies, if you are from the UK and looking into IVF i would strongly recommend DR. Taranissi at ARGC. they have the highest success rate. I got pregnant from the first cycle. each patient has a different treatment plan. i was not treated like a client..which i hear may be the case here at many clinics. and the best thing is u can freeze the embryos, so u dont have to go through the stress again.
