Thanks for the advice - so it seems a full-time live-in maid would be the best option. Can someone let me know the best way to find a live-in maid that does not involve going through an agency.
Thanks for the concern Cheeky Monkey - yes there is some anxiety on my part but my sister-in-law lives on compound and their maid has been looking after my son with no worries. She is happy to train/supervise maid to understand the allergy
Any recommendation would be appreciated plus cost and process of getting a visa. My experience is that all maids seem to be on short visa and need a new one within a few weeks (is this enough time to know if they are right for you and the upfront costs?)
Thanks
We are a family of three - myself, husband and 3 year old son. We moved to Dubai in August and were living with family but we now have our own villa in Mirdif.
We are looking for a housemaid after being badly let down by our first maid. We are keen to find someone who can be recommended by another family.
Responsibilities include childcare (though this is not full-time as my son is at nursery and I finish early some days), cleaning, and laundry. We would like someone with good spoken English.
If anyone knows of a good housemaid looking for work then please can I be put in touch with them.
Thanks for your help in advance.
Hi Larala,
I am a UK Child Clinical Psychologist but am looking into opportunities to move out to Dubai ASAP. Did you have any luck with your job search. I wondered if you had any helpful tips on how to get started.
Thanks
