Ask your current employers to pay you your final settlement by cheque and don't tell the bank, I quit my last job in January 2011 - Sub Standard Chartered have still not cottoned on that i have changed jobs and that my salary no longer goes into them - i just do a transfer every month to cover the loan payment...... The problem is after i quit with my current employer, they normally sends a letter to the bank stating that I have left the job, ... there is no way the banks can't be aware of this... trap!!!

coffee has antioxidants and drinking it with skimmed milk with sweeteners will not pile up calories...

Yes we are also planning to move in there in a couple of months. I love the villas and find it quite spacious... I am just wondering if there is any nursery school around the place as I am yet to get myself a license and driving out is not possible for me... Families already living there, please share your views! Thanks!

Good to know you are moving to Glasgow! West end is a lovely place to live in Glasgow. We were on Sauchiehall street near Kelvingrove park... A nice15-20 mins walk down to the city center!

maybe you have selected books from different sellers - only amazon will ship here. I chose the books from a seller in the UK... or should i only choose only amazon price? There is some difference in price though!

Hi Ladies! Just wondering, has anyone used Swiss Air or Lufthansa for travelling from UK to DXB? Parents are coming over in August and were planning on coming with Etihad but the prices have just shot up. Qatar is also coming out expensive at the moment, and Emirates is out of the question price wise. Virgin and Royal Brunei only go from London (Need either Birmingham or Manchester) So any feedback on either of these airlines would be hugely appreciated. Or are there any other airlines you would definitely AVOID regardless of price? TIA! :) xx Lufthansa might not have direct flights from UK and normally does a stopover at Frankfurt... But the flights are very comfortable compared to Emirates...

You must visit the Anantara desert island resort. It is a lovely island resort and there is enough for children as well as parents to enjoy. Their wildlife drive is amazing and their service was excellent. You can also do many things like kayaking, hike through the wadis etc... But you need to book early as it normally fills up quickly! edited by beckyS on 13/03/2012

All the info is here for you http://www.expatwoman.com/dubai/monthly_education_education_fair_8151.aspx We've also got a host of nurseries featured in our Education section too in the top tab menu. Hope that helps EW Admin Thanks Admin for the message. Yes I saw that! i shall visit the fair today... It's good to meet all nurseries in one place... I have made several trips around jumeirah just last week alone because each one had a different date and time for viewing! This is going to help us!

I wouldn't suggest carrefour cakes for birthdays... There is too much of cream and icing which upsets ur tummy :( and they don't use real ingredients! there are many lovely cake makers in Dubai where you can get a custom made one....

Yes, Spinneys is expensive but I have no other option because it is right next to my door! Sometimes i do bulk purchase at Lulu. There is always 10-15dhs difference for me when i compare both... The same product is priced almost 5 dhs more at spinneys !

I am on Dukan diet attack phase, day 2 I am so bored of the vegetarian options for Ducaners! Is there anything other than tofu, yoghurt, cottage cheese? I don't take eggs! What else can you eat during the attack phase?
