i've tried but its too many wires for too many devices (tv, amp, speakers, apple tv etc etc etc) its now a huge big ball of entangled wires and knots and there's not much I can do! I read somewhere a while ago that there was an agency/service, similar to the type that organises your wardrobes etc that do wire and cable organising. just hope someone has any leads coz now am going crazy.

Hi Ladies, I'm looking for a qualified home tutor to teach/home school a grade 11 Canadian curriculum student. This is for a friends daughter who will re-locate from Canada early next year. If anyone has any leads or knows of any qualified teachers who may be interested please let me know as the family would like to finalise this before the actual move happens. Also would anyone know of any Canadian curriculum schools besides the American school? Any help/information would be hugely appreciated. Thanks

Hey We recently did a mini break through Emirates Holidays and they were FAB! Also friends of ours did their honeymoon through EK holidays and could not recommend them more. They are a bit more than doing it on your own BUT its worth it! Our friends did Bangkok and Phuket at the Amantara with private villa etc and they loved it. But most importantly EK plans everything to a T so its literally pack your bag and don't worry about the rest!

Hi Ladies, I need to send a parcel approximately 1.6kg of glass crystal drops for decoration for a family wedding in Paris. Considering it cost less than AED200 at dragon mart.....I'm getting ridiculous quotes from courier companies...upwards of AED700!!! Im in a bit of a situation as these need to be in Paris by the 8th of June and I think the rates for shipping are CRAZY! What doesn't help is that I have no one travelling to Paris anytime before that and I am only arriving on the morning of the wedding! Would any of you know of a more reasonable and super quick option/courier company. Any information would really be appreciated. Thanks

@Summerdream... I believe it would take at least some interaction/ meeting to judge someones attitude. I wonder how my attitude is deemed resentful to any potential employer, when my CV does not even make it through the door because of the lack of 'WESTERN' expat tag! Further I suppose what could be more resentful than me actually looking for an opportunity which is not defined by the pay package and only to be rejected because of lack of a nationality. I suppose you could say that I am resentful for not being able to work and constructively utilise my skills or for the kind of opportunities (or the lack of) that present me in Dubai. I do not understand what you mean by 'accepted norm' - I have merely made an observation about the recruiting processes followed, and as can be seen from the posts, are discriminatory in practice. I have made no other observation or comment or on the working atmosphere. I am a professional and have worked in Dubai before and I do know that I can fit in an office working environment anywhere in the world - and just because a comment is made on recruitment process, does not mean we do not know how to work or affect our ability to work. I do not know how you would get an impression otherwise. I leave it upto you to make your own mind as to whether you wish to recommend any positions or not - what more can be said than here is a person who wants to work but is denied an opportunity and not even have her CV read or accepted based on lack of nationality as compared to lack of skill or merit. As you can see from the posts, I am not alone in this experience. Would you not agree that this exists and that it is wrong?

1. Firstly, I wonder if the companies themselves stipulate this or the recruitment agencies? 2. Most companies have a Code of Conduct and Anti Discriminatory Policy which clearly gets violated and goes unchecked because the Parent Company/Head Office based in these 'WESTERN' countries are unaware of the discrimination followed here. 3. Most companies which follow these discriminatory policies could probably still be held responsible beacuse the 'WESTERN' Anti Discriminatory laws would apply to the Parent company and hence the the organisation as a whole. I just think its a blatant abuse of power because they think they can get away with it!

I love an indian beetroot recipe..... 3 cups of chopped beetroot (approximately 3 beetroot – depends on the size) ½ teaspoon cumin Seeds 1 whole dry red chilli (optional) 4 curry leaves ¼ teaspoon asafoetida ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder ¼ cup fresh grated coconut (optional) 1 teaspoon Vegetable/Sunflower oil Salt to taste Steam the beetroot, until soft and tender. Heat oil in a wok, add cumin seeds, curry leaves, and red chilli. Allow them to crackle. Add asafoetida, turmeric powder, beetroot and salt. Saute for few minutes. Garnish with fresh grated coconut and serve hot I also like a beetroot dip slightly steam the beetroot and grate. whip some yoghurt with a little salt and sugar add the grated beetroot keep aside or refridgerate in the meantime heat a table spoon of oil and to it add some mustard seeds and a few curry leaves till they splutter. add this to the cold yoghurt beetroot dip and mix well....refridgerate and serve cold

i use one pot of yoghurt..the 200gm pack, and add about 4-5 big cloves of garlic, 1 meduim onion, 2-3 small green chillies, a big bunch of coriander leaves and sugar and salt to taste. for the beetroot one...just boil the beetroot but not too soft and grate it dont dice it....im thinkig half would give u a more purple dip.....but keep adding till u get the right taste. just keep adding and tasting till u think it is right and u like the taste. another yummmm option is yoghurt, mango(not too ripe and pulpy but just about ripe). whip the yoghurt, add the minced up/ chopped tiny mango. in a pan heat a tablespoon of oil, add mustard seeds and fresh curry leaves. let it splutter. and add to the yoghurt mix. mix it all together ...u may add a diced chilli and salt. try it.....

Well, yes they do allow pets......many tenants in our building have dogs.............. From when we were looking a 3 bed was 190k-250k and a 2 bed was around 150k upwards. It all depends on the view etc. Most apartments in Towers 1-6 have a full Burj View so the rents are higher. We dealt with Hamptons, who are the official agents and very very good, especially after we had a HORRID experience with Better Homes, Hamptons was like a dream.
