I can't say I have used it. But from what I saw before, the cats basically stay in small cage, not nice if it's a "long stay" someone correct me if I'm wrong.

From my experience at terminal 3, never had a problem taking 12+ Ozs of water and a box of formula, no one has ever even told me to take the water out of my change bag.. Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing!

Why don't you tell your landlord you will arrange for the re-paint... Shop around and get it done cheaper?!

Global eye are a company I have spoken to recently as I was thinking about life insurance etc .. Spoke with a lady called Zoe Turner. This is the number I have from her emails 044043700. Haven't taken out an insurance yet but price etc was reasonable, I'm still deciding.

Yes they will provide everything... But tell her to tell them if she would like to use her own supply. They didn't ask me for anything and as it was my first baby it was very daunting and I just assumed I would use my own but as I didn't tell them otherwise they used their supply and once they open a pack you pay for the whole pack ;) I couldn't believe when I got my itemized bill on "check out" I even got charged for kidney bowls they brought me my Medicine in!! Tell her not to be shy to take the half used items as she would've paid for everything!! ;)

I had my hair curled by a Syrian man at top style salon in the grand millennium in Tecom. He used a clip less wand and he was so fast, I have very thick hair and usually when I get my hair curled takes a lot longer then he took! My hair stayed put for hours with the help of lots of hair spray! Very happy with the styling but went for a cut once and he chopped my hair up!!

They don't build for ''poorer locals'' any locals can live there and they still take out a mortgage (if they need to) for these homes... and it is illegal to sublet/rent government housing. edited by Miss_dxb on 07/11/2013

Hi dubai1990, yes i have been there, it is opposite the enoc but a bit hidden, if you drive slowly you will see the Jotun (? not sure of spelling) shop and just along there is a small alley where pet plus is located... its best to just park along the sand at the front and have a quick walk.. I have a cat so i'm not sure what dog things they have, its kind of big but has fish, dogs and cats, but not alot of accessories! I know they have cat beds/posts so i'm sure they would have a few dogs beds also.. maybe give them a call to ask first, to save you going?

Kalms are rubbish ... Nytol herbal tablets so much better and actually do the job, unlike Kalms! That's a bit of a generalisation isn't it?! I have friends who swear by them, so they are not "rubbish" to them, although they are not strong enough to help me. Nytol herbal gave me horrendous nightmares, truly terrifying stuff and I have tried them several times in case it was a coincidence, so "rubbish" for me. I think different things work for different people... Exactly - I get so fed up of EWers rubbishing other people's choices on this forum - a simple question as to whether something can be bought in Dubai required a simple yes or no answer, not an argument, yet again! I personally haven't tried them - they're for my DD (the other one) who has said they have helped her insomnia to a certain extent. Thanks to all those who have answered in a positive manner! Who's having an argument? cheeky monkey- if the OP required a simple ''yes or no'' how come that was not your answer either?! in MY opinion Kalms are rubbish.. you have to take 4 tablets at one time and they still dont help me sleep... so again [b'>I THINK [/b'>they are rubbish... edited by Miss_dxb on 25/08/2012 The thing was, you didn't say "I THINK" in your post you said (and I quote) "[i'>Kalms are rubbish ... Nytol herbal tablets so much better and actually do the job, unlike Kalms!". [/i'>So you are correct - my comment wasn't a "yes or no" answer to the OP's post, it was a simple observation (not an argument) that it is a bit general of you to state the Kalms are rubbish and that different things often work for different people. I also mentioned that they don't work for me, but I wouldn't say they are "rubbish", just not for me. You're right i didn't say ''i think'' in my first post but i also didn't say i'm speaking on the behalf of expat women! wow you take this site way too seriously..apologies for giving a reply.

I think (not positive) that part of the reason for the price difference is that if u buy a ticket from london to DXB rtn and for some reason need to change dates/times of flight then there is a charge of £75 each time u change... but if u buy from DXB to london Rtn u can free of charge, change the dates/times of ur flights - one time for each way... still i dont agree with the big difference but what can we do :(

Urban Tails pet resort is quite nice, its in dubai investment park and it has nice little ''suites'' for the cat, they have a play area where the cats have rotated acess.. Its a bit more money then a cattery - 80 dhs a night. But i prefer it as it seems more cosy then a basic cattery. Also it has CCTV where u can log in and view the cat area! and if u have facebook they will post pics of your cat ''having fun''. :)

Hi, I am not 100% sure about the studio's but i assume it would be the same as the one bedroom apartments which only come with a fridge/freezer..as the are 'unfurnished'. You would have to buy a cooker and washing machine etc...hope that helps edited by Miss_dxb on 29/01/2012

yeah, some airports (i know Gatwick North Term) have vending machines for sim cards, so when u land just ask around... by the way if u want one to call abroad i would recommend Lebara, always use it to call Dubai from UK and so much cheaper :)

omg exact same thing happened to me yesterday! A man called my home phone and asked if i could confirm my email, POBOX no etc, so i said to him well tell me what you have and i will tell u if its correct... same answer 'can not due to privacy' ...So in the end i said 'well dont worry coz i'm ALWAYS constantly receiving SMS, i get emails and bills though my post box blah blah blah... so your info must be correct! and he just said ok thank u bye! :-O they do call my mobile (automative service) alot but i never answer (now i know the number) so i assumed thats why they called the home phone?? strange!
