Hello Mamas, i am so clueless! And hope for some ideas. I am a FTM and baby is 7 weeks old. I usually was very active going out ( beach, swimm etc) but obviously with these Temperatures its impossible to go out with a baby. What can we do indoors? I get fed up walking around in the Mall....Any other suggestions? Any baby groups in the area The Greens, Tecom, JLT or Marina? I know that there are coffee mornings, but was wondering if you Mamas know about a Baby Group from above mentioned area ? TIA:love:

Hello Ladies, i wld like to ask someone who has a Be safe Izi go Baby seat ? Which stroller did you use it with? I went into mothercare the other day and the salesman tried to convince me the only one compatible is the 5000dhs Stokke. I told him that there are others also compatible, but he was insisting on the Stokke. Any personal experience? Which stroller did you use it with? TIAbye:shy: edited by new_girl_intown on 18/11/2014

1000dhs? 200 EUR Waho for a consultation only? I did my research " but as a LASIK Consultation it should be a complimentary exam because without it you’ll never know – and the doctor will never know – if you’re going to qualify for LASIK." thats what they say. I can imagine they charge after that 1st consultation. Then they do more tests.

I remember a friend of mine did that years ago. I kind of think its better to have a new lense inserted than only " cut" your own down. I will see. Tmrw is the big day and eventhough i still need to do lot of work I cant stop thinking how it will be. I actually thought I "consult" more than one, just to see where I feel more comfortable. I suppose everyone reacts different to a surgery, I just hope it works and I dont end up blind or so :o

Hello, m so nervous about this Lasik thing that I simply cant decide which one to chose. Who has been recently there and done it? Tomorrow I have an appoinment with Atlanta, for check up if m suitable. Well, on the phone she said it wld take 35min. Other posters wrote here on EW that it took 1 hour and a half! I never had a consultation, how will i know that they doing a proper check up? My eyes havent been properly checked since 2009, i was travelling a lot to places were opitcians werent that good ( i checked it twice with an optician and i had very weird numbers, completly different.) I so wish to see without glasses, its a real pain and the thought of waking up and see clearly almost makes me cry. I wld really appreciate if someone has recent experience and can tell me how the procedure for check up is. Thanks

Try Eton. You can teach your native language there, you get a trainer course before and you chose your timings and days. I know a lot of mums doing this.

crash diet is quick weight loss and quick weight gain...its good to be slim for a day or two, but if you want to start this to "start with" you will seriously just harm yourself more....but, if you have only 1 or 2 kg to lose, it might help....

hi, i had a similar story....I ordered 3 books, only 2 arrived. I also thought first it was lost, but turned out they didnt have it in stock anymore and just forgot to tell me, for a month....then charged me for 4 books, instead of three... At the end they refunded me though, but i was spending everyday an hour with customer care, before i got any good answer... I think they send it with Royal Mail, as far as I remember, and they will have to know where it is....they scanned it. Request to talk to a supervisor....Thats what I did and only then they started to do sth.... I dont know if I should use them again though...

I agree with Di@DXB. What you should try instead is, replace all "bad" carbs with goods....Less pasta, more potato....No white bread, quinoa bread is good or instead of a slice of bread plein yoghurt with oat flakes and a banana in the morning. I leave out all the "bad" carbs, and yes I still eat carbs, and I slimmed down in no time. And yes sports as well.... And another hint: try to avoid to eat carbs with protein....Try to eat like rice ( brown) with veggies and if you crave meat, eat it with veggies...And there are plenty, like zucchine, eggplant, carrots mushroom etc. I dont know exactly why but if you eat carbs + protein together, your body has a hard time to "burn" carbs and puts it on your hips and elsewhere ( Personal Trainer explained that ) Hope that helps....Dont try to eat one thing for two weeks only...I tried protein only, and after 2 weeks i couldnt stand the smell/taste of eggs!

I did drink it for the first three weeks, because at home we can :) I felt constantly thirsty and weak and I had the feeling i was not drinking water,it felt like, i drunk something that took my energy! So i stopped, and bought Nestle Water. Feel way better! And I think this water is very processed, so either filter it or buy bottles. my opinion :)

Hmmm that sounds interesting, maybe they can help me out. I think that the travel cost as excess baggage isabout 500$ and if they wld label it ascargo, maybe it works? 2000$ for only one dog i dont know , thats a bit too much, especially if we maybe leave in 3 years...i hope to get some positiv answer from Allison and will contact KLM tomorrow, maybe they can help me out. @mary: did u ask them o lable it cargo or do they do that anyways?

Hi, well she is medium size dog and travelled already before, so i know that she is not counted as a larg or larger dog, as medium size. Still on the import regulations it says it has to arrive as cargo...the price difference between carge and excess baggage are biiiig

I went back home over the summer and practised more of the PIDDDS technique I had learnt here in Dubai in the last year on family. It is a self help technique that you are shown over two days. But in the first session a huge difference can be felt and seen in the spine and level of your hips and shoulders. Then the exercises need to be continued on your own for minimum of two weeks daily then continue for at least a 6 weeks regularly. I was so happy I helped my cousin whom has suffered since a child with back pain, leg length difference. It took me 2 minutes to change her leg length and make it even. Ha! What many therapists do not know. Then it was only the next day I could do the full body movements with her. Her spine straightened beautifully. She tells me she is still doing the exercises, and especially likes the corner of the wall one. Her back pain lessened after only having her leg length made equal. Today she does not suffer with the back pain, and she feels more emotionally in control now. I urge anyone to try this very gentle technique. Anyone with scoliosis should try this technique. Everyone can benefit from it. And only two sessions needed! Otherswise google PIDDDS. Louise B. That sounds interesting, i have sculiosis too plus my shoulder muscles seemed to look like bull shoulders...not extreme, but i look like i swimmed a lot, those muscles are very tense and stif, is this therapy you describe also good for that? I was doing physio and ostheo back at home but here i am struggeling to find someone. Where did you go for this course ? I ll see a doctor, medcare or so on Al Wasl Road...hope he can help :/

Dont go to Dial a Nail in Tecom, similar story! I recommend in Tecom Diva Salon, they are professional, more expensive then Dial a Nail but at least i get the service i want to. Dial a nail burnt me during waxing, and that is pretty ugly! Diva salon is great, if you live in Tecom, i recommend that salon, its next to park n shop

its pretty rare to find a pt job. I suggest you to do a course, maybe in your profession or sth else...I realized that my profession over here didnt help me much :( So i did a course in Education and now i have some part time students, still not as well paid as back home, but at least I can get out of the house for other reasons than shopping :D And you will also meet new people...Always good :)

I would like to know if anyone here works for them and could maybe tell how it is there? I was working as flight attendant before ( Europe) but only for summer season, and we had no layovers, I liked that. I dont wanna start with Emirates because of the layovers, I would like to be home the same day or at least within 24 hrs. I used to have 4 to 6 flights a day, 12 hours day working, and then i came home and relaxed. I cannot find any info regarding Fly Dubai, how the working conditions are, and if they do layovers or come back to the home base. Any experience or suggestion would be much appreciated :)

the guy in the shop said that this sprouted bread is the low carb bread...or is he wrong? If yes what is sprouted bread? ( no native english) If you are supposed to be eating protein, then substituting with any kind of carbohydrate doesn't make sense. Maybe you are better off with another plan if you are not willing to go through the no carb or low carb phase. Have you thought about a whey protein shake instead of eggs or yogurt? Conversely, if you want to keep good carbs in your diet, then do so, and limit your fat intake instead. (still keep protein at least 1 gram per 1 kilo of LEAN body mass--not total body mass-per day). Organics Cafe used to sell "sprouted" bread every Wednesday. If you want to eat bread, that is the best kind you can eat as far as low glycemic impact.

I did the Dukan Diet and lost weight - the only exercise I did was a bit of swimming. I think with your exercise regime you'll hit your target, no probs. ah cool :) and is it possible that my attack phase can be three days only? I calculated it on the website of it. m not overweight, i just wanna get rid of 4-5 kilos.
