Hi ladies! Welcome to the November group and Dubai Steffi :) So good to hear that you are happy with your doctor and American Hospital. I will give birth there as well and now in September my husband and I will do a little tour around AH. lizard: Ok, then I know exactly who you are! I really hope to see you and your little one on Thursday so I recognize one friendly face as well. Btw, also did the glucose test a while ago, terrible with the fasting. I was freaking out a little bit, hehe breakfast is my favorite meal. But all went ok and test results came back good. Nice to have it over with. So exciting that so many can come along on Thursday, and thanks Louve for the details when and where. It will be nice to see you all. Regarding the massage, they called me today from SensAsia spa and I got the slots under the time they have there promotion so hurry up and call because I think its only limited slots available. Number: 04 417 9820. I wish my due date could be changed to an earlier date, really starting to feel heavy. I have a lot of pain in my lower back and hips. Everything is getting a little bit uncomfortable now, but hey in 2 and a bit month it will be worth it right :)

Wow, we will be a big group catching up at Health Bay the 14th, exciting:) Louve: I would also love to come along for the coffee morning the 30th. Where in Marina Mall are we catching up? and do I find the time under Events? ClareJLT: Tomorrow SensAsia spa in Emirates golf club will call me back to book me in for a yummy-mummy-to-be massage. She said that they had a promotion starting this week and for 60 min you only pay 195 dhs, so cheep:) Thanks a lot for the suggestion, and they take you in even if you are in week 39..Great! Now I'm off for my yoga class, hope everyone has a great start of the week. X

Now I am even more excited to start my antenatal class to meet you nadiadk and your friend ClareJLT:) also happy to hear you are enjoying the classes there now. scratch: That is so helpful, thank you very much for the phone number, I will definitely give Frooz a call. lizard: I think I know who you are now, I think we were partners when we practiced in the small yoga room at Zen. We did that back exercise right?! How nice to find you here as well. Will see you back on the yoga mat in mid sep! I looked up Angsana spa for a massage when I read you really liked it there ClareJLT and your recommendations UmmShamsa, but I think I read somewhere that they don't do any spa treatments if you are over 28 weeks, is that correct? What week were you in when you went there? I'm really craving a relaxing massage at the moment, but soon heading in week 30. aurora06 and lizard, I don't know much about Arabian Ranches and Victory heights but we are living in Arenco villas in Al Sufouh and it is a beautiful compound, lots and lots of families, dogs and super child friendly. I love it here, it is a good location as well. Not sure if it is any villas available at the moment but just wanted you guys to know. Maybe worth checking it out. Have a beautiful day all of you and your bumps. x

Hi ladies!! Hope you are all well. I'm so happy Ramadan is over, back to coffee shops and eating in public. Welcome to the forum lizard! Where do you go for the prenatal yoga? I'm with Zen Yoga, and I love it. Helps me to feel energized. Finally booked us in on the antenatal classes at Health Bay, so my husband and I will go every Friday from the 14th of September, I'm so excited:) Maybe I will see one of you ladies there?? Think it gets fully booked pretty quick. Does anyone here know if it is possible in Dubai to get a "pre-tour" to the hospital you will give birth in? In Sweden you go and check out the facilities before and get info about everything you need to know. Would like to do that in American Hospital. Starting to get heavy now, I can really feel him growing so much and me getting bigger. Have some pains in lower back and hips but trying to rest as much as possible, helps not working huh! I'm going in to week 29 and he kicks ALL the time, amazing but tiring at night. Big movements too, not just the "little" kicks anymore!! Take care everyone! x

Hi ladies!! Now I'm not the new girl anymore, hehe. Welcome yasmeenism and nadiadk:) Hope you are both well. Nadiadk: It must have been crazy living in Cairo this past years with everything happening there? How did you cope? I guess you are as relieved as I am being in Dubai? I will also deliver in American hospital:) I am seeing Dr.Öksuz at Health Bay Polyclinic, and from what I've heard they have some good classes you can go to. We will take a antenatal class that lasts in 4 weeks, once a week. One of my friends did that one and she liked it. ClareJLT and Louve: THANK YOU so much:) We went to "Just Kidding" last weekend and actually ended up buying a Bugaboo pram, I fell in love with it and my husband as well. The staff there was so much better than mothercare and we got amazing help so we had a lovely experience and we are so pleased:) We also bought a car seat, maxi-cosi pebble. Now when we purchased our first baby things it feels like I can't stop, just want to get out there again:) ClareJLT: It also helped to stop and think what you really want and then get involved in the store, I don't think I did that in the beginning when we went for pram shopping so thank you again for helping us out with great suggestions. And as for Iran, it was interesting and good learning about different cultures (good skiing aswell) but that was about it, having to cover up everyday and when you are out feeling you are not worth anything as a woman was hard. So we are grateful for the freedom and good living Dubai has to offer:) UmmShamsa: I hear you, can definitely feel a difference in how I'm behaving in traffic but more so in malls and supermarkets, I'm always aware of where my bump is so no one can walk in to me. I think it is a survival thing and like yasmeenism said motherhood kicking in. Where do I find the info about the expat woman organised coffee morning in the end of the month? Looking forward meeting you guys:) Going in week 28 now so finally made it to the third trimester witch is exciting:) Not long now until November!! Can't wait. Take care everyone. Alex, Xo

Hi everyone, Thanks for welcoming me to the group Awayfromhome15 and Louve:) So excited to get to know everyone here. So, how often do you meet up? Louve: Nice that your husband took care of the four wheel decision:) Mine is trying but we are both a little confused witch one we will pick. We will go to the store Just Kidding to check out the Bugaboo as I don't know much about that brand, haven't seen it in Sweden. Thank you for the suggestion:) Do you know about the Mothercare Spin pram? Any good or bad experiences? I thought that one was quite practical and I like that you can just click on the car seat as well. I struggle a little bit with heartburn at the moment which is annoying.. mostly in the evenings. But it comes and goes away, so I'm not sure if I want to take something for it!? Hope everybody is doing well in the heat. x

Hi everyone!! Hope you and your bumps are all well in the heat. This is my first post as I'm new to this webpage. My name is Alexandra and next month I've been in Dubai for a year. Loving it, maybe not so much now when I can't really be outside:) but we are happy here! I'm from Sweden and my fiance/husband (depends where we are) is Australian. He works in Security so we travel with his job. Before Dubai we spent 2 years in Iran, very struggling place so Dubai is paradise for us. I'm not working at the moment, sure miss it a lot sometimes! So I say like you Hana, if any of you guys feel lonely here is another companion:) I due 10th of November (same as you scratch):) 2nd pregnancy but hopefully first baby. It is a boy and he is kicking like a champion! I feel good in my pregnancy (finally, after 3 month of extreme nausea) it stopped in week 18 and now I'm going in 27 and feel a lot stronger. I'm going to Prenatal Yoga at Zen Yoga, witch I really enjoy. Lovely group of women and the teacher is brilliant. Something I really recommend. So excited to find this thread with ladies going through the same thing at the same time! I have like a million questions about everything, haha so I don't really know where to start!! but at the moment we are stuck in the pram jungle, so any suggestions there are super welcome. So I found out last ultrasound that I will give birth in American Hospital, do you guys have any experience about that hospital or heard anything? My doctor told me they have the best midwifes?? Looking forward talking to everyone and maybe catching up? You all seems to be so nice here!! Take care ladies:) Hope to hear from you soon. Many hugs!!
