Unfortunately, they have changed the management again! Now its run by a huge organization - not sure if they will spoil the lovely atmosphere it always had. Why do these large companies think they can come in and make tons of money out of early years education - beats me.

Hello, I have done it too and found the course and tutors very good. Its great to discuss with and meet others in the group and extend your network. Highly recommend it over some of the other companies offering it.

Hi again, you will need a local sponsor if you set up outside the free zone, but not within the free zone. You can apply to either KHDA or MOSA (2 main regulators) for your licence approval. You will also need a licence from DED, MOH, Civil defence and others. It is very complicated. You will need to pay the local sponsor between 20 - 40 k per year, the licence from the regulator is around 10k and the DED around 10k. You will need guidance in many other areas. Please let me know if you need more help. You can reach me on [email protected]. Good luck

Hi, can anyone help me toward the right place / organisation in Dubai who can make a copy right over something which I have created? I have no clue how to go about it. I have heard that making a copyright is easier that Trademark. Would really appreciate if anyone can advise, thanks.

Hi - just saw this thread and wanted to let you know that we have a really great Emirati lady sponsor who is very affordable and does not interfere at all - she does some of the running around and PRO work too. If you need one or your current one does not work out let me know and I will put you in touch. Just a note that if you open in free-zone you do not need a sponsor - also, my sponsor is only willing to do LLC (limited liability companies) for security reasons. You are most welcome to give me a call on 050 - 5887917 (Lynn)

Hi, my friend used Rentacrib, the British run company. I think they have been around for over 10 years and seem to know what they are doing. They fitted a customized gate and safety edges in my friends house recently.

Hi, my friend has just put her daughter in Littlewoods Nursery in Um Suquim ( 2 streets from the big Spinneys). She is very happy and they have FS1 class there. Its British Curriculum and has a special language program too. I recall they won some awards for being the best nursery. Their number is 04 - 3946155. The head teacher is called Milka and she is very nice.

A good nursery will have a 'sound' and practical Settling In Policy that is put in place to support both mums and the little ones at what can be a very traumatic experience. 2 weeks is too long. It will be disrupting the other children, who will all be wondering where their mummies are. Ask to see their policies book. I bet my bottom dollar they dont have one!

Hiya, I know the guys at Rentacrib LLC usually do all the safety gates, advice, installation, provide all sizes etc. Paul, one of the owners really goes the extra mile with help. I think they are the first to pop up on the page if you google them.

Hi, yes we had the same problem so called in the guys from Rentacrib LLC. Its a British owned and run company and they provide perspex sheets and covers for bannisters, stairs and balconies etc. Quite reasonable too, depends on length of area to cover. They also safety proofed my friends house as she has a daughter just crawling. I think if you google them they are the first ones on the page. Hope you get sorted.

I have been involved with setting up nurseries for over 10 years and honestly, it is usually the 2 - 3 years age groups that max out the places in any nursery.

I got mine from www.shismoo.com....British owned and managed safety proofing and products which has been around for over 10 years. They were reliable, reasonable priced and went the extra mile with customer service. They seem to have loads of new stock on their new web site and were ever so nice over the phone. Well worth checking out ladies.

Hi Ladies, there IS a British owned and managed company here and it has been around for much longer than Duma Safe - over 10 years. They would never charge that much, in fact I know for a fact that their charges and prices are at least below 2000dhs for similar job. Loads of brilliant safety products which they can deliver, safety proof assessments, extar wide baby gates and gosh, loads more.www.shismoo.com Cheers,

Hi! Does anyone have any options other than Dumasafe? They have quoted us 12,000 dirhams for the work, which we are willing to pay, but they have now not responded to us. It is like they are trying to avoid us! I really just want a huge piece of plexiglass put up in front of my balustrade plus two custom-made stair gates. I don't see why that should cost that much. Does anyone know of any other companies in Dubai that could provide this service? Thanks. Oh my! That is crazy money. I never childproofed my home and nothing ever happened to my children. Just a firm NO!
