Thanks ladies. [b'>AmyAus82[/b'> That is what I was hoping i.e. put my DS in Arabic school till mid primary and then switch to English one. And I expect that English would be very basic there so was/am prepared to do my bit to compensate for it. Do other international schools recognize and accept UAE MOE curriculum? Is Rashed Al Saleh a private or public school? Do expats study there? Also, if its run by nuns( I'm assuming Western), surely they and admin speak English, right?

Thanks Di@DXB, I'll try those. But from most art stores I've looked online, they sell cork sheets, not bottle caps. I need those typical circular shapes to slice through. Anyway, I'll give those a try. Thnx.

Thank you ladies for all your input. The LL has not made this a rental increase issue (atleast he is not saying this. Also, legally, no rental increase is due this year as our rent is within 25% defined by the rera index). He just wants to evict us on one month's notice saying that he is selling and the new owner wants to live in it. I know we have the law on our side and that if we take this to the rera court, we should win, but my dilemma is if '[i'>[b'>WE[/b'>[/i'>' should be the one to initiate this. I am in the last week of my pregnancy & cant take the stress & hassle of going to courts (when my labour could begin any hour). If we just refuse to vacate, wouldn't that we enough? After all the LL cant evict us without an eviction order. Is it better for us to wait and see, or be proactive & take the case to court? I'm just hoping (due to my personal situation) that we continue to not budge by touting the law provisions & wait for them to give up.

Hi ladies, Would really appreciate your input on this if you have experienced dealing with rental dispute committee. I was due for my first tenancy contract renewal next month when I received an email from the real estate company that is managing the unit on my landlord's behalf. They have asked us to evict at the end of the contract (i.e. given 1 month's notice). They said that my landlord is selling the apartment. We ignored that mail. Two days later their office calls us to say that they are sending over some potential buyer to our apartment to 'view' the property that same evening. We refuse. This real estate company has been very unprofessional throughout the past year we've had to deal with them. So, we didn't believe them. We emailed the landlord (who lives abroad) directly to ask him if the real estate's eviction claim is real and authorized by him. He replies to say that he indeed is selling the apartment and has found a buyer who wishes to live in the apartment. I know, legally, they cannot evict us without giving a 12 months notice sent through either a registered mail or notary public. My questions are: 1. In this case where I have not received any formally recognized eviction notice document (nor a 12 months notice period), other than an email from the real estate admin asking as to evict, do 'we' even take this seriously and file a dispute claim or should we wait for them to initiate legal action? If I initiate the case with the rental committee, what supporting document can I present to them other than the two emails from real estate company & landlord? Would those emails be acceptable and recognized by the committee to accept my case? 2. How long does it roughly take for the rental committee to handle a case from start to finish i.e. from filing till judgment? I am concerned because I'm expecting my second baby any time now and am worried that if this case drags for some months, then I will be without a current/valid tenancy contract & Ejaari - a requisite doc for issuing and renewing of Dubai residence visa. Will I be able to get a residency visa for my newborn (& a visa renewal for my toddler due in Dec) without a tenancy contract if the case if pending with the rental dispute committee?

friend of mines sister had her baby at the Iranian Hopsital and she said that it was aboslutly fine and the doctors were fantastic. I didnt ask her how much it cost im afraid. I would seriously think about getting insurance. God forbid, if there were any complication during the birth and after I dread to think what the financial implications would be. Im not having a go at you. Just sayin .... Congrats on your pregancy by the way :) Thank you mushypeas. I'll have to go there myself to get a feel of the place and see if the doctors feel fine. Thanx

Dr Raoufi from Arya Clinic on Al Wasl road opposite Iranian hospital. She's amazing and soo compassionate and kind to her patients. Delivers in Garhood hospital, which is like a fancy hotel! Hi Elabella, Can you tell me what is Dr. Raoufi's delivery fee? If I pick her as my doctor to deliver at Iranian hospital, how much would I be paying in total i.e. doctor fee+hospital fee? Also, if I'm using her, do I need to book/register/visit Iranian hospital prior to delivery? Thanks

Hi ladies, I'm in my 5th month with baby #2. So far have been going to Shj for prenatal checks. But now that I've moved to new Dubai, I'm looking at options here. Don't have insurance, so am looking at pocket-friendly hospitals. Can anyone give any recommendations/advice on doctors & hospitals for anntenatal checks as well as delivery? I'm looking into Iranian hospital. Any good (& kind) doctors there? What is the rate and procedure like for antenatal checks & delivery? My fast pregnancy and delivery was free from complications and normal so I'm hoping and praying that this one follows the same path. Would appreciate any advice. Thanks

Thank you all for the very helpful suggestions! However I wonder if this is in line with the Islamic and Eid tradition, I thought everyone who can afford it have to sacrifice a sheep for Eid? I guess I need to talk to the Imam In order for you to offer the sacrifice in the traditional way, you can visit the cattle market in Qusais either before Eid or on the day of Eid. Select and purchase your animal. Then take it to the abbatoir right next to it. You will be given a token number and your animal will be put in line. When your animal's turn comes, they will slaughter it on your behalf. If you want, you can see it from the viewing area. They will do the washing, skinning and chopping. You will be handed over a couple of huge bags of meat. You can use some of it and also go to any labour camp in Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman and distribute the remaining bags to the poor people. Note: Purchasing on the Eid day would be quite a hassle due to the rush. You have the option of buy earlier and asking the merchant to keep the animal there till you collect it on Eid day. Hope this info helped.
