I am 29 weeks pregnant and attend classes with Urban Energy Fitness. They have classes at Safa Park, The Palm and now just started in Motor City on Wednesday evening at 6.30pm and they have one on a Monday morning too. Amy takes the classes and she is fab. I have also had some PT with her before in my last pregnancy. Classes are AED750 for 10 classes, not sure about the PT prices.

Why don't you hire a Personal Trainer that will come to your house? I know Urban Energy Fitness do it. I personally haven't used them for this (only prenatal classes) but their trainers I have seen are great.

We recently moved with Pro-Move.ae. They were fab and very professional. They booked us in for 2 days but they managed it in 1. At 8am 10 guys arrived and the old place was packed up by lunchtime. They even cleaned my freezer for me (which was embarrassingly grubby). Chris the Manager is British was was supervising the guys all day to make sure it went smoothly. The come hight recommended. Reasonably priced too!

Urban Energy Fitness are also very good. I used them when I was pregnant and they came to my apartment. They are doing loads of advertising on the radio on the moment so you can get their details from there. Sorry I lost the number.

Thanks Roysie, they will try to go into Layan, Im sure its very quiet during the week mornings so hopefully no one will mind. Upul in management went throught the whole process with me and explained why it takes 10 days at least. They've never had any problem explaining why the pool has been closed in the past so I feel its genuine. I have 2 children who have spent an extensive amount of time in the water, here and elsewhere and NEVER has a swim nappy leaked! If you're in the pool for a long time and dont change the nappy, yes, perhaps accidents may happen but if you're vigilant and attentive that simply doesn't occur. If your child has a tummy bug he or she should not be in a pool at all, not because of the chance of accidents but because a pool is a breeding ground for bacteria. Sorry but in this instance, and in all occassions when a child uses a pool as a toilet, its never the childs/tummy bug/dodgy nappies fault, it is the parents/caregiver. End of! I think you will find that Chlorine actually kills all bacteria. Quote from Wikipedia "As a common disinfectant, chlorine compounds are used in swimming pools to keep them clean and sanitary"

Are people that niave that they believe this doesn't happen often. I am a member of a health club and it has happened a few times just in the last few months. Its always dealt with very quickly and the pool opened within an hour. I would blame the management for shutting the pool for so long not the parent. Accidents happen.

Hi Smilies, Mr Ben in in the Mall in Al Diyafa Street is great for costumes. Also try the Balloon Lady on the Beach Road. Its in the same Mall as Prime Medical Clinic. Good luck

Thanks for your reply HGAC. It was yellow when I was BF, and when combined it was sometimes yellow and sometime green, and now, almost always green, which leads me to believe it maybe the formula. He has been very dribberly and like to chew on his hand alot, so could be teething also. I didn't know that teething could effect the colour of their poo.

I gave birth at City 12 weeks ago and had an amazing experience. The nurses were fantastic during the birth and I felt very comfortable with them. I had a really fast delivery and so the only pain relief I had was Gas & Air but they initially asked me what I wanted to get them ready. The aftercare was also very good, the Nurses were available if you needed them but not in your face. I hadn't slept in 24hrs so they offered to take him away for a couple of hours so I could get some rest. I had a few problems with BF but the lactation consultant was great and she gave me her number so i could call anytime I had a problem. I highly recommend City and I will deliver her again for sure. Good luck with your decision.

I have been commuting for the last 14 months to AD and not too bad. I quite often car share if I can which helps, and its nice to have some company. I think its worth the drive, as my colleagues hate living in AD and come to Dubai whenever they can. Just expect accidents from time to time and move out of the way of the nutcases, and you will be fine!
