I caught darrin out with an email and he gave me his number. Now his phone is constantly off, what a coward. I even had a friend call him in Sydney and still no answer. Just feel for anyone in Sydney using him.

hi guys, I just posted a question about this too - I didn't see that this one already existed! under the BC my son is due to start FS1 sept 2014, but as an august birthday we're seriously considering holding him back a year & starting FS1 in 2015. The schools actually seem ok with this, and say its the parents decision (which is supported by the KHDA), but my main concern is when we move back to the UK in the future what will happen. I've called a few schools & they say this is very rare there, and are worried about peers bullying because of the child being held down! If we were staying here forever it would be a no brainer, its only because the UK is so strict that we are deliberating!

Hi, my son is an August born baby & under british curriculum is due to start FS1 in sept this year. He will only have just turned 3, and after reading many studies concerning summer born boys struggling throughout school I am considering holding him down a year ("backyearing"), so he would start FS1 Sept 2015. In Dubai we are lucky enough to have that opportunity & the KDHA support it, however my main concern is when we eventually return to the UK where will we stand? Will he be forced into the Year above the one he is studying here & therefore miss a whole academic year? Does anyone have any experience of doing this here or in the UK? A very confused mum!!!

Hi Ladies, I'm so sorry for my disapearance from the chat recently, I've had guests in town for what seems like forever & my little angel decided to show up 3 weeks early! So... I had a baby girl, Sienna Alice, born on 27th Mar at City hospital - all went fantastically, apart from epidural not working, but even that didn't matter in the grand scheme of things. I've just been catching up on all the new arrivals!!! Max & Philly, huge congrats on your bouncing baby boys, Max I hope Lewis's cold has passed now? Mrs Abdullah & Momofmoo, congratulations on the baby girls as well, I've gone completely overboard on everything pink (my first is a boy, so makes a change from all the blue!). Babyboy, I hope that you've delivered now & that everything went well for you? Alenka & pinkbutterfly enjoy the peace whilst it lasts, you'll be meeting your babys in no time at all. Lyndy, regarding the swimming, with my first I took him after his 4 month vaccinations, most swimming classes start at this age. I used Dawn Venturas from babyswim, she was fantastic, and uses an indoor pool at the tamani hotel so can go in all weathers. I'm just about to start a new class though at the emirates golf club, which a friend has also recommended (not sure of the name at the moment though)! If you need any more info just let me know. I really hope all is well with everyone, and I'd love to catch up in May once we've all settled into our new lives - max I've still got your number so I'll give you a call in a week or so to arrange. Loads & loads of love, Louise X

Max, that's awful news about the diabetes! I really hope it doesn't effect you too much, you'll have to rely on your obgyn to do everything possible for a natural birth! I've just emailed you about meeting up, my son's in nursery mon, wed & thurs mornings, so they're best (as wont be distracted), but can make any other time too. Philly, it'd be great to meet together? Muffin86, I'm going to try out the prenatal yoga on the palm tomorrow, I'll let you know how I get on, but yes it's the one where Kalms is. I can't believe we're in our 3rd trimesters now! I hope everyone is keeping well & enjoying their pregnancies (seriously make the most of the first one, subsequent pregnancies are never as fun when running around after a little one!). Take care ladies xxx

Hi Ladies, Had a manic Xmas with all my family over, but great fun - just catching up on everyones news now! max - thats terrible that they told you the *** of your baby, such a personal decision. I didn't find out for my first pregnancy & was suprised with a boy, this time around planning & organising got the better of me & we've found out we're having a girl. Our first is 17 months currently, so will be 20 months when I deliver! Thanks for the excercise tips, now all the family have gone back I've really got to start doing something! I also found a prenatal yoga class on the palm (where I live), so I may give that a go as well. Regarding massages, I never had one, but sensasia spa does a special 'mum to be' menu, I just stuck with the head neck & shoulder massages whilst getting my nails done at tips & toes. I hope everyone had a good xmas & new year - only 3 months to go now..... Max, I'd love to catch up for a drink in the week, inbox me at louise_field1979 at hotmail dot com XXX

Hi Ladies, its taken me ages to get around to posting, but I had my 20 wk scan yest (at 21w 3d), and all is fine & healthy, so think I should start facing reality that this baby is coming now! This is my 2nd baby, my first was born last Aug at city hospital with Dr Elsa, which was a great experience, and one I'm hoping to replicate this time. I've also heard good things about American, so would suggest either. I've also been going to the foetal clinic for the major scans, which I prefer, as they are solely trained in this one area. I'm keen to start doing some exercise again, I've been using the 'eating for 2' excuse for far too long now! Those that have tried prenatal yoga & pilates please could you forward me the details. Regarding strollers & baby equipment it is definitely a lot more cost effective buying in the UK or abroad & bringing over if you're travelling, if not the DSF sales start from the beginning of Jan here & can get some great deals. If anyone fancies meeting up for a juice or hot chocolate any time just let me know, I'm not working at the moment so pretty free. louise_field at hotmail dot com Also if anyone has any questions that I can try to help with having gone through the whole thing once before please just message me, although my memory is like a sieve at the moment! Take care ladies X
