I know all about the whole maid-on-own visa thing and how it's illegal blah blah blah. But if someone hires a live in maid who has her own visa and is therefore working illegally and the authorities find out, what happens? Is it just the maid who gets deported? Does anything happen to the employer? I'm asking because we had a pretty serious issue with a particularly nasty neighbour but I just found out about his maid being illegal and now I'm wondering if his threats are all bark and no bite because without the maid he hasn't got a leg to stand on and wit the maid, well... he's hired someone illegally! M king im actually looking for a maid who s using my husband s visa to be in dubai By any chance she s from latin america?

Hiring an illegal maid would be a real hedache for the employer You don t know why she runaway with that visa, cause none woul ever pay a visa and then give to the maid and tell her bye The employer will pay a fine and can be deported and loose his job

Good! thank you very much i l let you know, so as you!! :) Hi Misabela, Yes, when I was pregnant I was also sensitive about many things (noise, smell, light). But when I say here is silent I say it compared to other experiences too. I lived once in an apartment that I had the neighbors from h*** that were night people, very active from 12 am on... Here for me is very silent, so no complaints so far. In Dubai I think I was very lucky so far, no noise from neighbors in any of the 3 places I lived here, last place I had an issue with the garbage disposal place that was very noisy and beside my apartment door, but no loud noise from neighbors. I hope you are enjoying Al Furjan! If you need anything let me know.

Hy Babyrat thanks for your reply! i ll try both!! lets see how it goes! :) Personal recommendation is always the best. Classified section on here is good. You can always try putting an add on Dubizzle. With regard to interviewing you have to go with your gut feeling. I spoke to someone recently who was whilst had a lot of experience in child care was refusing to go on a First Aid Course!

Yeah i guess so! i will try to enjoy and not to focus in the noises. maybe im sensitive because im pregnant, i fell like being in a quiet place to relax i became to exigent with the noise problems maybe due to our previous experiences, But thanks for replying you ve being very usefull in this forum regarding Al furjan, i read all your posts and they helped a lot in order to move an solve some problems with the house! Have a lovely day :) Hi, I also live in a type A and I have neighbors beside me in a Type B. I thought that it would be a lot of noise when they moved, but it is still very silent. Usually I hear nothing from there, the only time I heard something was construction noise (I guess some drilling). But I definitely don't hear any day to day noise from the house. They never complained about us either and we have a dog who barks not a lot, but when she does she is very loud. so maybe the isolation here is better... or your neighbors are loud....

Hi everyone! We are thinking in moving to al furjan but we just found the last few options left, as i believe 90% of the villas are already rented, does anyone know what they are building in front of the villas (main entrance) after the first round about, cause the house we liked are just facing in front of that construction site im talking about qortaj villas, please before we make a decision does someone know? as we want to avoid big noises as we are running from our villa here in jumeira due to several noise problems. Thanks!!
