Anyone got DU Talk, and Surf or Talk Surf and Watch? Apparently the price has gone up from 199AED to 275AED per month (talk/surf) and from 275AED to 335AED per month (talk/surf/watch) Customers will be automatically upgraded to the more expensive but "improved" 8Mbps service from September 1, but have three months to unsubscribe and return to their previous plan. I also want to try the Vampire treatments with doctor Rezai. Hope it will have great effects cause I called today and it's 3000 ead per session and you need 3 sessions to achieve results. Has anyone tried the skin revitalization at his office done with restylane instead? Thanks girls I had my 3rd session of the vampire rejuvenation with him today, it's done wonders for me. I actually started noticing improvements at about 2 months after the 1st session. He advised me now to only have it once a year combined with a session of laser rejuvenation.

I appreciate that there may well be those who will think I am a soft touch; for the record, I have had the same agency maid for 2 years, she gets a tip every week, cash at Christmas and I gave cash when she married. Never once has she asked for money. Nor has she stolen anything even though she is probably there alone some of the time. The gardeners/mainatinance in our compound once did ask as they said they were collecting for one of their colleagues who was having a hip replacement op in India and we gave 250 AED to that. I see that as an extra price that we pay for having such pampered lives and I think we're pampered precisely because many people here are paid very little (unless we're uber rich and have that sort of life in our home countries....that's not me though!). If we choose to treat people decently, as we would wish ourselves and our family to be treated, then we'll all sleep easier at night, in a world that is just that little bit better. I couldn't agree more... THANK YOU

mmm yes, and it's the minimum wage that's crippling the UK..... How about introducing a minimum-wage here based on the Indian government's guidelines then? I am sure Clark14 would agree to that because it means equality for everyone... AD, Sarcasm will not help...

I would never give/lend to a maid. It is very unprofessional. If she was fired it would send a strong message to others. what message? to keep quite and work as slaves?... just beacuse it is legal to treat certain people in certain ways, doesn't mean one should do it... the amount of money that possibly could be life changing for them is nothing to us... I used a maid agency once and will NEVER use one sagain... It's appling the way they treat the maids, and what they pay them... I'd rather do my own cleaning and cooking than being part of this culture... Do you live here then? If so, are you aware that many of the people you encounter everyday are paid very low-wages compared with your country? Yes I do and yes I am aware. And I do my best to help anyone who asks for it. if we all were to ignore the situation just because the majority of people working here are treated this way then we are not better than their "employers". If everyone just went with the flow... then no change for the better would ever happen... Don't you agree? Yes, they really need to introduce a minimum wage here. Every worker should be paid according to the UK government's guidelines... ... You said it...

WELL SAID, Completely agree! Rachel in Dubai...please make room behind the parapet as I am probably going to join you there. Someone once said to me that she would rather be shafted now and again than live her life thinking everyone was out to get her or con her. I think that's a great philosophy. We have no control over the actions of others, which may or may not be genuine. All we do have control of is how we choose to respond. Yes the maid might be scamming, but she might be in genuine need too. The Good Samaritan did not pause to think whether it was a trick. So if you are in a position to help then do so, because we might need help one day.

I found Harrods in the departure lounge of Heathrow airport the cheapest. So it's definitely cheaper to buy in UK? No wonder the shops at New Bond street are always packed with Tourists!

I'm happy to answer any more questions you may have. Do u mind saying how much it cost? I had 30% off PRP, paid 2800 and for the tear trough under my eyes I paid 1600 again including 20% discount. Is this for for one treatment or it for the whole package of 3-4 treatments that you will require? Sorry but would soooooo love this too but need to figure out my costs and your info would be so helpful :) the prices are per treatment, I could have purchased the PRP package but it worked out cheaper this way with the discount. I had a very good experience with them throughout, and now that I've seen the improvement, I wouldn't mind paying the full price that is if there is no more discount ;) 1 more question :) How did you get that lovely discount?? :) I read about it here and when I called they told me about the discount, without me asking. a friend of mine had it done about 4 weeks ago, she also had the discount, bhut she had to have th etreatment during a certain period. the nurse had told her they have weekly promotions for various treatments.

Just to update, she eventually had to pay to see a Cosmetic surgeon privately back home. He told her that the filler was injected too superficially and too much injected, which usually happens in the hands of someone inexperienced. I found the Dr.'s name for her on this forum, he was recommended on more than one occasion here, I guess the fact he was the only one who could give her an appointment within 2 days should have rung alarm bells. Luckily she had nothing permanent or major done. Hi, I've recently had fillers for hollow tear troughs. I also used a plastic surgeon recently recommended here but unfortunately the results are not what I expected. The fillers were definitely placed too superficially, one eye has a rope-like appearance where you can see the filler was injected while the other one has has too much filler placed into the hollow, leaving me with bags under my eyes rather than hollows :( When your friend consulted with a second surgeon was he able to remove the fillers successfully? How did it look afterwards? Thanks I had tear troughs injections about 9 weeks ago, the doctor advised me to start gently massaging the area from day 3 for about 5 minutes every day for 7-10 days. He also massaged the area while doing injections. did you do any massaging? if not try it, it may help. what type of filler did your doctor use? I've heard there is an injection that could dissolve some types of fillers, buut don't know the name :( have you tried contacting the doctor?

youngatheart, sorry for late reply, I've just seen your post. hope your appointment went well. It's now been 9 weeks since I had the treatment and I've noticed my skin looks fresher and is glowing, I also had dark shadows under my eyes which have now improved. the doctor did say it would take about 3-4 months to see improvements but I'm already seeing it. I usually wouldn't go out without wearing foundation, but now I just use sunscreen and that's it. one thing you must consider before having the treatment is to take few days off afterwards. Prior to seeing the doctor, I'd read stories about people being bruised and swollen for 2 weeks after having PRP, I asked Dr Rezai before the treatment and he said it all depends on the injection technique the doctor uses, some doctors pierce the skin for each injection, but for each piercing Dr Rezai injects the prp in the surrounding area without taking the neddle out, I am happy to say I only had slight bruising during the first couple of days. I'd highly reccommend Dr Rezai, but a friend of mine had the PRP with fillres with Dr Davood at the same clinic and she's happy too. if you wanna know anything else just ask, but you may have already seen the doctor and had the treatment yourself.

Can anyone recommend for an adult. Using dermalogica which should be fine but having breakouts and not sure if it's the cream. I use La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-In Cream SPF50. Dermalogica contains very active ingredients maybe that's why your skin reacts!

I wouldn't say they are amazing - they get you from A to B and are relatively cheap. The airport experience in Sharjah is easy as it's a small airport and it's quick to get through. The airline is no frills and you pay for every bottle of water or bag of chips. I would pay a bit extra to fly Emirates or Etihad but if it's significantly cheaper with Air Arabia then it's fine. Have been to Kathmandu with them. thanx, so it is like ryanair! I'll keep looking and use them as last resort.

I haven't had PRP injections but know of a doctor in dhcc who does this. I know him from UK, had surgery with him couple of years ago. now i see him for botox and juvederme. where did you have it done? if you want the doctor's name, let me know. I had it done with Dr Allen Rezai at Elite cosmetic surgery group in Dubai healthcare city. the doctor came recommended. I actually went to see him for breast augmentation which I am planing to have in May. they have a promotion for the prp so I decided to have it done. I am happy with his work, at least with the Restylane as the prp takes longer to take effect. he did say I would need to have 2-3 sessions before I get the full effect but I should be able to see improvement 3-4 month after the first session. I'm just being impatient to see the result.

I had it yesterday, just wondering if anyone had this and could tell me how long after the procedure they noticed improvement? the Doctor told me it would take between 3-4 months. I guess I'm just impatient my friend had it done in the UK and she couldn't see the difference! She was not very happy at all I have told her to write a blog as she has lots of treatments a blog is a great idea, please let me know when she's started it. Do you know how many treatment sessions she had, and what condition her skin was in to start with? this was the first time I had it, I also had restylane for the wrinkles around my eyes. with the restylane I noticed the improvement instantly. but the doctor said PRP injections will improve my skin over time and usually it would take between 3-4 months. He asked me to come back and see him in 3 months time for a follow up. I've done some research online and there are mixed reviews about the treatment apparently depending on the skin codition the course of treatment varies, some people will see results after the one treatment but for others it may take several treatments to see improvement. that's why I was hoping someone who had it could give me feedback.

yes the dressing's off :) and I'm delighted! I wish I'd had it done sooner, no more shoulder pain... Dr Rezai's amazing, his staff's been great too, they called me every day after my surgery to check how I was, then he saw me 7 days after and I'm seeing him again in 2 weeks for my next follow up. I've already recommended him to few people. feel free to email me cardwella at rocketmail dot com if you have any Q's, or just want to catch up. have fun in Sweden. by the way, do you know what the book is about? I am seeing Dr Rezai for a consultation, do you mind if I email you? TIA

Clark14, the name of the clinic is Elite cosmetic surgery group and it's in Dubai healthcare city. I am having my surgery with Dr Allen Rezai, he's a uk consultant plastic and reconstructive surgeon and all reviews I found about him online where from his UK patients. if you Google him you'll find info on him. for their contact details go to their website address elitecosmeticsurgery.ae I haven't had surgery with them yet but my experience with him and his team been very good, so far! 2bnot2b had breast reduction with him and she's very happy. I'm meeting her when I'm back in Dubai. Thanks :-)

hej, I'm actually in Sweden now, will return after Easter. I did book for end of April. And I'm now getting 10% off. recieved an email from the clinic last week about a book launch promotion which entitles me to the discount. I am having ba with tubular correction so the cost is basically more than just for a ba, so the email made my day. I was going to pay the full price anyway so this was a great surprise. hope you're healing well. have you had your dressing off yet? can you tell me where you're having it done, please. I'm considering having breast augmentation but don't know where or who to go to. TIA

Hello! Could any one advise me on where I can buy raspberry ketones supplements in dubai? I recently saw these on Dr. Oz's show and wanted to try them. Any one every tried them? DON'T.... I tried it and it didn't work for me ;( I even bought the Detoxplus colon cleanse, as it was recommended to take these two simultaneously for better results! I tried both for 1 month and NO CHANGE!
