I don't know her but here is her profile it lists thyroid issues in the absence of Endocrinologists, one may go to an Internal Medicine doctor http://healthbayclinic.com/dr-ursula-rolef.html if you do a search on endocrinologist on this forum, you will find some recommendations incl Dr Amal good luck what seems to be the issue though? do you have an email that i can get in touch with you at ?

i met my current fiancee after separating from my ex husband. we met here in dubai and it was through friends. our paths wouldnt have crossed otherwise. we are also from different cultures and religion. i am a muslim and he is converting to islam. i was very clear that i am dont party and want to settle down and have kids from the beginning . it has somehow worked out and we are getting married soon. i had also met men online who were very serious in dubai and have gotten proposed to as i am clear from the beginning i dont need time wasters <em>edited by divalicious7 on 10/07/2013</em>

Yep I had the same and have found the site quite slow today too! Much slower than usual. Well according to my screen, there are only 9 users currently on line. Which I know is not true for mine ... i have been scanning my computer all morning thanks to incapsula !!!

2 companies to stay away from ... flymovers and supremeway .had experience with both. flymovers left half of my stuff in the old apartment as their truck was full..supremeway broke my stuff..i learnt my lesson with both of them and mind you they werent cheap

Awqaf is Awqaf and if there isn't anyone you can speak to now they won't have anyone at all. What is it for? You can do Ruqyah on yourself, actually it's recommended unless it's something really strong. May I ask what it's for? i have been calling all morning to try speaking to them ..i need to get in touch with a raqi that is approved by the government but it doesnt help as i dont speak arabic

Hi Ginnee, please be careful, Kish Island is known to be a dangerous place for ladies, especially since she is alone. Every now and again you hear of something bad that has happened. I hope you get her out of there soon! She must be so scared. Good luck x you are right, i was in hr till recently and had employees who had to exit to kish, not safe at all Sorry, divalicious, but if you were aware that it was unsafe, why did you allow the employees to exit to Kish? i didnt ..the decision was the senior hr directors ..my conscience wouldnt allow me to have female staff there but he didnt care ..

We managed to send her money via al ansari. In the meantime we went to dubai immigration and were able to fast track another visitors visa. We hope to fly her out today. Poor thing. Yesterday she was kicked out of the hotel as she had no more money. When we wired her money, she had to produce her passport to collect it. Hotel refused to giver her the passport as she owed them money! Finally he gave her a photocopy of it and she was able to get funds. If you google kish you will find doezens or news articles on ppl stuck on kish as alot of employers simply dont care if thyre unable to get their visas sorted. Thy leave them stranded there. Alot of prostitution on kish for his reason. What a mess beaurocracy has created! it is nuts, i have flown there and have seen first hand the condition of some employees ...so sad !!

lynett .. i hardly write on this forum although i follow it quite a bit but your story has compelled me to do so .. i am a british pakistani and i can understand where are coming from regarding the " D" word. although i came from a very supportive family - they still couldnt understand why i did want a divorce as it is frown upon by our community. the only difference was i wasnt pregnant and i always kept my passport in the office. i had demanded a divorce from my brit pakistani husband after 5 years of marriage. my reasons for divorce were severe and after 5 years and tons of counselling, i wasnt interested in spending my life in misery. i got out of the marriage without a single cent and gave him everything including joint account and assets or else he wasnt agreeable to the divorce. i was also depressed but forced myself to network and got a better role than i was in. i left home, got my own place and had my own career in senior management hr. fast forward - a year and a bit later , i had saved enough through my job to start my own business and i am engaged to be married to an english man who i had met in dubai . although my family are not happy that i have chosen some one from a different faith and culture , we are very happy together. after pleasing the society and family - its time to live for your own happiness and make your own rules ... i am writing because i have done it all second time round all alone in dubai ..it takes a lot of mental strength and psyching yourself to be postive - be strong and go out and meet people. network and you will make new friends. if you need help with finding a job - please let me know ..in sha allah you will be fine ..have faith

OK - so one idea that I would be interested in getting going is a shop that imports stuff from home that is not readily available here. Are there investors out there, in your opinion, if viable (and of course interested). None of these are unique business ideas. It's just taking what already exists and adding good customer service - which will be very difficult to do unless you're willing to increase running costs. agreed ..

i have used flymovers - they were 45 min late and took in all 10 hours to pack and unpack..that too they managed to unpack only 4 boxes with my maid's assistant ..i will never use them again and am still fuming !!!! <em>edited by divalicious7 on 06/05/2013</em>

My mum who has been living in this part of the world for over 60 years (she is 82) always has a supply of "pinki" i.e. Potassium Permanganate in the house. Just soak the fruits and veggies in a tub of water with a pinch of the stuff and voila in a few minutes your food is fit for human consumption. Just dont leave it too long or the veggies will lose their colour & flavour.....dont know all the details but we never had any problems. .....by the way Pinki is also part of the diplomtic survival kit given to its employees travelling to "suspect" regions. we used to sell it as an antisceptic and the pharmacist i worked with swore by it is it available at any pharmacy ?
