I'm TRYING to grow my hair after 15 years of having short hair, but finding it really difficult, my hair looks dull and I seem to get constant split ends. I've been using the Marrocan oil treatment for the past 3 months but don't see any improvement. Any shampoo/conditioner/treatment recommendations? I don't mind paying for the more expensive brands if it's been tried and tested ;) I don't use anything other than Kerastace shampoos,I avoid shops bought ones as they are full of soap which dries it out, filter on shower, only washing it twice a week My was cropped in 2009 and it is now past the small of my back. I find my hair grows quickly here however I only have it cut every 3 months and had extensions in for a year ( Very fine hair too) I don't think there is a miraculous tablets etc to make your hair grow really quickly. Moroccan oil wasn't great for my hair as it is fine, it just made it really really greasy. Thanks :) I was actually thinking of getting the kerastase serum when I'm back in UK, but maybe now I get the shampoo and conditioner as well. do you buy yours here in Dubai? I won't be back in UK until mid December and I'm really desperate to sort my hair out as asap.

Hi Sweetcherry. Are you planning to buy this or next year? If next year there is still a lot of time. I would personally suggest to go with a broker. He will find the best deal for you and helps you with everything. I have a really good contact, if interested please let me know. Hi, Our TA expires in December so I thought September would be a good time to start looking. do you have experience in buying property here?

we have the gagia brera bean to cupp coffee machine, it makes very good espresso, capuccino, latte, americano you name it. the downside is it's pricy and if you only use it occasionally then it may not be worth it.

Try Dr Allen I went to him on Saturday. They have an offer on aswell so it was 1530 for a full head He was a really good guy and I would go back again without hesitation Sarahlou, where is he at? I'd want botox and fillers done but haven't found the courage yet. is it painful? Dr Allen Rezai is in DHCC, he does my botox and I also have PRP with him. He is very good. what is PRP? sorry not very knowledgeable on this subject ;) does it involve needles as well? Yes, I'm afraid so! it involves using your own blood, centrifuging it to separate the serum from the rest and then inject it in your face or where you want to have it done. I had topical anaesthetic so did not feel the needles too much. the needle is tiny, similar to the one for botox. "No pain, No Gain" that's what I say! Thank you for the expl. it's gonna be baby steps for me, will start with Botox and see where it takes me ;) Well I'm up for anything!! Does this blood thing actually make a difference?? it has for me, I remember DR A saying that smoking is a contraindication, so if you are a smoker, it may not work on you. I am not a smoker but I still just bought a single session tried it and as it did improve my face, I went back for a course of 3. All I can say is, try it, if it works for you, continue if not then you will know.

I think it is like the Vampire facials ( Don't quote me on this) I will be honest and say don't waste your money. My friend and I had it done and it wasn't worth the money at all Did you have it with Dr Allen? I am on my second and can honestly say I have a better complexion and my face feels firmer. Dr A advised I have a single session first and if I see results, I can continue, which I did and went back 3 months after and bought a course of 3. my husband is considering it too, but for his scalp. apparently it helps with hairloss, he's planning to have hair transplantation in 6-8 months time so this will be a good preparation.

I know that, I am just hoping someone will show up on here and have a positive experience :( it is not a choice :( Sorry no comments on the hospital, but I've always believed Doctors in developing countries are more experienced and better at making diagnosis and carrying out surgeries even with having limited resources. Hope someone with knowledge of the Hospital replies to your post.

going there for my first session today... any feedback ladies from those who'd been to this particular centre before? sorry can't help with the centre, but I would highly recommend laser to IPL, tried both but laser seemed to work better on me. now I only have 1 maintenance session per year :) thanks for the feedback... was planning on getting laser anyway (that too the painless version!)... I think it's called ND YAG or something like that the place had a good offer on... you pay for 3 full leg sessions and get three half arm sessions free... but going there for my first session and could only find a couple of online reviews (all good) so just looking for some additional feedback from the lovely ladies on this forum I had NdYag too, on my bikini, cause the skin is darker but on for my face I had a combination of Alexandrite and NdYag. if you've never had laser before ask them to do a test area first. when i first had mine, they did a test area and I had to wait 24hours to see how my skin reacts, then have the actual treatment. for my bikin I had 6 sessions and 8 for face. good luck!

I was on Marvelon initially but changed to Yasmin 2 years ago and have not experienced any side effects. the nurse who prescribed this for me said that she is conducting a study about contraceptive pills and Clots/DVT risk with Yasmin seem to be higher, I discussed this with my GP and she said if I don't have a history of Clots/DVT in my family I should not be worried. I've been on it for 2 years now and I'm happy :) my reason for the change from Marvelon (which I had been on for 15 years) to Yasmin was to reduce excessive hairgrowth due to hypothyrodisim, and it seem to have worked:)

Hi everyone I would be very grateful if someone could recommend a good plastic surgeon, who could do a rhinoplasty on my nose! I like a very natural look, nothing fake and something that will go well with my face. Most of the ones I have seen are all the same and very fake or too small for the face. Any input or recommendations?? Thank you :-) Dr Rezai, had my nose done with him about 3 years ago and I'm very happy with my results. He only does "Natural", had a ba with him as well recently.

same thing happen to me few months after I moved here, I started taking Nourkin and my hairfall improved immensly, however, I stoped few month ago and it started again after few weeks, so I'm back on it. I'm afraid if you decide to take this route, you would need to stay on it forever. But do have the blood test done first to eliminate any underlying conditions causing the hairfal.

I would be grateful if someone could recommend a good plastic surgeon, who could enlarge breasts which eventually would look completely natural. Most of the ones I have seen really show that they are been enlarged… I have also heard that this operation and the silicon that goes inside could cause cancer? Does anyone know if it's true? Any input is really appreciated! Thanks I had mine in September with Dr Allen Rezai and stayed overnight at the hospital and was discharged the morning after. most silicone implants are cohesive and wouldn't really leak into the body if ruptured, I had a choice of Mentor memory gel and allergan natrelle implants, chose the latter as I found more reviews about them than the mentor. with regards to silicone causing cancer, there is no scientific evidence that it does, even the horrid PIP implants seem to not cause any health risk you can read about thi shere and also check the MHRA website [url=http://www.cancerresearchuk.org/cancer-help/about-cancer/cancer-questions/can-breast-enlargement-cause-cancer'>link[/url'> I'm 3 months postop and my breasts already look natural. I knew Dr Rezai from before, I had my nose done with him in UK almost 3 years ago, so I knew I wanted him to do my BA. but if you dont have your mind set on a specific doctor, it's always good to see a few, compare their recommendations, then make your mind up.

I need to take a large sum of cash with me to the UK in December. I'll be travelling with three other family members. Has anyone taken 10k (pounds) per person into the UK before when travelling in a group? Or 10k alone? According to the internet, you can take in 10k euros without declaring it but just wanted to see if anyone had any personal experiences. I wouldn't want it to be confiscated!!! if you are a family travelling it's 10K (Euros or its equivalent in other currencies) per family NOT per person. furthermore, if asked, you'll have to show proof of where you've got the cash from. sometimes customs use dogs specially trained to find large sums of cash, but I've only seen this when leaving UK and NOT when entering. you may find the below link helpful. [url=http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/customs/arriving/declaring-cash.htm'>link[/url'>

Can anyone recommend a good place that does eyebrow waxing please? Not one for the threading craze. Thanks I've heard it's not good to wax your eyebrows as it pulls the skin and over time will stretch it. why don't you give threading a go?

I am sure this has been posted many times, but I REALLY need a good facial. Can any of you ladies recommend a salon bear Ibn Battuta, Marina, or JLT? Thanks! I have tried several brands and in my opinion there is nothing better than Guinot. I get it done in Marina at Nail Point Which one of their facials do you have? I Used to have the Guinot Hydradermie treatment when I was in UK, but havent had any since I have been here, but I still use their liftosome serum and moisturiser with the rose exfoliator. It is an excellent brand. edited by sweetcherry on 20/09/2013

Reviving this oldish thread as I want to have breast augmentation and am very confused about which surgeon to go with. I have an appointment booked with Dr Khan, but after seeing the reviews about Dr Rezai I am reconsidering. Could anyone give me an idea of the approximate cost of BA with Dr Rezai and does anyone have any current reviews. Thank you I have known Dr rezai from UK, he did my nose about 2 and half years ago, since I found he was working here, I have been to see him for Botox and in about 2 weeks' time I am having breast augmentation. I paid 36000 for the operation with anatomical allergan natrelle implants, (round implants were cheaper) 1500 for an overnight stay at the American Academy hospital and 400 for tests. so a total of 37900. I wouldn't have surgery with anyone else but him, but that is because I have already had my nose done with him and trust him completely. This is always the hardest part finding the right surgeon, before my nose surgery, I saw 3 surgeons before deciding to go with dr rezai.

I have a cream leather sofa set, I too do a big cleaning twice a uear with leather cleaning products but I also dust with a smooth cloth (which is normally used to wipe computer screens) every other day. I don't think it's necessary to use cleaning products more than once every six months.

As my daughter has moved back to the States, I now have a bedroom/bath available in my Marina apartment. I know women share apartments and villas all over Dubai, so in what instance is it actually illegal? Or is it? I have listed on Dubizzle, but wondering if I am opening myself up to any issues? TIA Why would it be illegal? as it is normally only allowed to stay with family. Please have a look at the other threads ("experience with rent committee" and there is another one...will look for it) thanks, will do. I'm curious now!

Does anyone had a rhinoplasty with him? I found him when I googled rhinoplasty Dubai and liked the results I saw on his website. I want my nose to look nice and natural, NOT done! I've seen alot of bad nose jobs here so I'm bing very cautious in choosing the right doctor. I've already booked an appointment to see him next week, but would really be greatful for any feedback from ladies who had him. thanks I did, but in UK about 2 years ago. he's done a fantastic job. I went and saw him here, couple of months ago for botox. You're on good hands.

I cannot comment on his nose surgeries but he's a great surgeon and I'm very very happy with what he's done for me. Hi, so you did it, Congrats!

It should do. just when you purchase the camera online, select to collect it at your nearest JL. when you go to collect it just explain the situation and I'm sure they'll sort out the paperwork for you. I bought two lapms from JL and they completed the paperwork for me there and then and I claimed the VAT back at Heathrow. Hope this helped ;)

Shakespeare Cafe in Dubai Marina Mall. It's not a beach view, but the Marina is beautiful and you do get a bit of the beach between the buildings. Food is delicious as well. I 2nd that. I love the food at the Shakespear Cafe and their lemon mint drink is to die for!
