Thankx again! Saw it zengirl! Just send them an email....Fingers crossed! Thank you all for understanding! i´m feeling better already! If we were back home my mom would take the kids some weekends so we could sleep! I know it won´t last forever, but it´s just that i work in the morning (after dropping oldest son at school) Work all morning super hard so kids can be with me the full afternoon, from lunch time. Bathe them, give them dinner, put them in bed. Then sometimes, if i have an event, i have to leave for work at maybe 8 pm, when i return at midmight or whatever, i get (with luck) 4-5 hours of sleep (interrupted at least 2 times) it´s killing me softly!!! And i some homw feel guilty for not being able to cope with that in a cheerful way, but i truly can´t.....

Thank you ladies for the support! Sue, unfortunately not...I run my own business, and i am currently training new staff.....plus i work in events, which means a lot of work in the evenings. And my husband works in AD and he has taken a few days, but the level of work is insane.... I don´t know...i know it doesn´t last for ever... I would let him cry the problem is after i while i can´t take it, plus i´m afraid he will wake up our other son....

I flew when I was exactly 12 weeks pregnant with my first to Spain, and when i was only 9 weeks with my second pregnancy. Walk, move your legs and drink plenty of water. You will be fine!

I´ve had this problem before.... And i´ve always handled it the same way. The first 2-3 times i call them or knock on their door and with a biiiggg smile explain that we wake up very early, because we work, or that the kids can´t sleep etc..... If this doesn´t work, i call Emaar´s security. And if it doesn´t work i call the police.!!! Of course i do!! And i don´t feel bad! I´m sorry, people should respect their neighbours!!! One thing is doing a party every once in a while but loud music till past midnight on a regular basis???No way! Call he police once and i assure you it´ll be over

Canadian, i understand your point but rest assured neither me or my husband get holidays for easter, Xmas, 2 months in the Summer, plus the usual breaks... As for the trainings, generaly our companies provide those on weekends....when we need to spend 24h a day with our colleagues...and no, we don´t get paid for those extra hours either.... My point is, i understand training is important, but it could probably be in September before school starts, or during one of the half terms etc....

Raffles West Campus. One of the days was given because they didin´t have teachers to take care of all the kids (as training was only for new teachers...)so we all got the day off... Only one of the days appears on the official calendar... I´ll count the days as you suggested and see....

since we started school in September 11th, Raffles teachers have had 4 days for training, which translates in no school days....Add to that the half days for parents-teachers meetings plus regular holidays.... I´m flipping! Is this normal? To me it means either that the teachers are not qualified enough, hence the need for constant training (woories me quite a bit...because they charge as if we had oxford trained teachers) or lack of organization (honestly, teachers coudl do the training before the school year starts....)

My maid is going on holidays for a month and i need someone to come every day as i work and have 2 kids... I´ve tried a couple of agencias but they´d rather send 2 maids, get paid double the hour and finish the work in 2 h...what i need is someone that could stay for 6 h or so... Can anyone recommend any agency for this?

I wanted a medication-free, naturla birth and had it with my son with Dr Rosalie Sant. I basically told her what i wanted and didn´t want and she respected it completely! I delivered at Welcare. I´m having my second child with her too

I couldn´t agree more with DubaiCat. I did the same with my son, i exclusively BF him, didn´t express, so i did all the work....he would feed every 2.5-3 h all the time, day and night....i ended up feeling quite miserable.... It is basic that you rest. If you don´t want to use formula, express so that your husband can feed him and little by little reduce the feeds at night. I think we sometimes think they´re hungry and it´s not the case, it´s more wanting you to be there etc... And, then each kid is different....mine was a nightmare, didn´t sleep through the night till he was over 18 months (although changed to formula at about 6 months) whereas i have a friend who kept breastfeeding till baby was 1 year old and her baby started sleeping through the night at 6-7 months! YOU ARE NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG!!!! each baby is different and some are more demanding.....hang in there, i promise it will soon pass!

I delivered at Welcare with Dr Rosalie Sant and baby was given to me straight away for about 2 min. then they cleaned him right there, next to me and then they took him for a keep test and whatever, husband was with him the whole time. That took about 15 min and then baby was back with me in the recovery room breastfeeding! tell them you want your baby with you at all times! they should respect that unless something isn´t quite right and they need to check him further

I had my first child here, had a visit once a month, and then from the 8th month every 2 wks, and then once a week. Each time i had an u/s. But for about 1 min, no longer, jsut to make sure baby, placenta liquid are fine. My son is healthy, strong, no food intolerances at all....i don´t know if it affects them, but in our case my son was perfectly normal....

Ffff... I´ve managed to delay payment for Raffles till April 5th...hoepfully by then i should have the assessment? i might anyways call again this week and ask when the assessments will be, and again where he stands on the list... Worst case scenario, he can go to Raffles for a year and then trasnfer to DBS for year 1....

Oh no JM! Well, the thing is being in a Raffles nursery as he is, he has the right to get in Raffles school (but i have to pay 1500 now which will be deducted from first term. i can delay the payment a few weeks but not forever...) he is in no other waiting list because my story is exactly like yours!!! He was on waiting list for F1, i turned down the palce because he was sooo happy in nursery....so this time roudn they told me they ahd kept him on waiting list and he was now top 4. But then when i called again, it was a different lady, she said he was in the top 10??? ... you anyways did the assessment in April and they then told you there was no spot for him??? uf....should i keep calling....argh!

thank you sooo much!!! i really want him to join DBS, he´s in the top 10 in the waiting list so the told me unless there´s a lot of siblings he would get in. the did mention assessment would be in April but was just worried as i hadn´t received any letter yet and i really don´t want to be a pain calling weekly... while we´re at it, do you know if they have summer camp? I´´m having baby number 2 in July (end) so was planning for my son to join the camp at DBS to familiarize with the school. Thankx!

Congratulations! That´s the first thing to say! and then....you´ll work it out. If you want to stay in Dubai you know you have to get married. How does your man feel about all this? You don´t say if he knows... He´s going back to his country for real?or is it a visa issue? You can´t have a Catholic wedding as you were once married this way. As for other churches, i don´t know if they marry couples who don´t belong to that religion? anyways, 2.5 months for the paperwork isn´t that long...you would be not even 4 months at the time. Work: it says in your contract you can´t get pregnant????
