Hi Ladies My son isn't well so we have had to cancel our Lunch out tomorrow. So now I'm in desperate search of a turkey and all the trimmings to be delivered. I have tried room service with no joy.... Any ideas? I know i'm probably going to have no joy, but I can hope

I have a City Stroller Single for sale if anyone is interested. Only selling it as we are moving back to the UK and don't feel the need to have a stroller anymore. It is by far the best one we have used and hold's a very good weight unlike most that stop at 15 KG.

Hi She is 37 and from the Philiphines. We hired her as a nanny mainly but when my son is at nursery she does housework for us (just the basics) We pay her AED 2,000 per month, buy her groceries etc along with the basics she has to have. We always give her the holiday's we get off work but will work them if asked - She is very flexible and has worked short notice for me at a weekend if I ask her. She has been amazing with my son, and I will be sad to loose her. Hi, Really sorry to hear about your husband's job. Actually, i am thinking about hiring a nanny. Could you please give me some details about her nationality, age, salary etc. also, does she help with the house work? Thanks alot

Thank you, Meagle for the info. I would love to help her stay, but can't afford to put her else once we leave so we'd run her cancellation in line with ours. We had planned for this contingency because our nanny wants to stay in Dubai but hadn't found a new sponsor until this week. You cancel her visa at immigration (take her passport and Emirates ID) and she will have 30 days within which to leave the country. You write her a NOC for transferring to a new employer. With the NOC and the pink slip from her cancelled visa the new sponsor can start the visa process for her even if you've departed Dubai. The issue, though, is if she's a live in she will need to find somewhere to stay if she's trying to find a new employer after you've left. Best to tell her now to get an ad on here and/or Dubizzle and help her find a new sponsor while you're still in country. Then when you leave she can just move to the new family.

Hi I have a two year old son and am looking for recommendations of any meet ups or classes in the Marina area where he can make some friends, any suggestions? Coffee mornings don't tend to work as he just wants to run around and I end up chasing him the whole time :-) My son hates going to the malls etc! We can't do coffee morning's as I work full time so we normally go to a soft play or a park but weekends tend to be hard to make play dates as everyone wants to spend it with the other half!

How come you all don't vaccinate your children against chicken pox? It's easy and chicken pox is horrible! How do you know she didn't?? The vaccination isn't 100%, they can still contract it.

Personally, I wouldn't use them again. I had highlights and when It was finished couldn't see barely a difference. I use the hairdresses in N-Style MOE now and LOVE IT.

I went through the same thing this year - Our landlord gave us two months to leave as he wanted to ''move in''. He had to serve us 12 months notice from the end of the last agreement. (also had to do on same price) We do now have a non renewable contract.

Hi I loved JLT when we lived there 18 months ago. It has 2 big lakes you can take the little on one for walks, bike rides etc. On the lakes are shops, resturants, salon's etc. It has 1 metro stop to either part of JLT.There are a number of nurseries. You can walk over the metro bridge to the Marina. Or pop on the metro to close Malls. In my opinion it's a nice starting point.

Hi My son is absolutely fine with weeing in a potty/toilet and most of the time poop's too - however, sometimes he does forget about the toilet/potty when it comes to the poop's. I just accept them as feel putting a nappy on confuses the matter. Your son will get there in the end, as will mine :-)

Springs are semi-detached not all in a row. They are I believe, alot smaller than the Lakes and Medows, but they are also cheaper in price, so....it depends what you want really.

Hi We have just used Rid-A-Pest, they put down these black pods and do a spray. The pods are put out of Reach of children and the spray dries up and is harmless after 2-3 hours. It is a very strong smell for 2-3 hours, so have you son or daughter out of the house, I did.

Hi Ladies I'm a working mum with a 2.5 year old boy. We live in the Springs. Do you meet up at the weekends at all? My son goes to nursery and soft play during the week, but I'd love to spend time with mums and tots at the weekend with him.

Is the infection viral or bacterial? My son was diagnosed with a bacterial throat and chest infection last week. He was given Augmentin and a few other things. As soon as he started the Augmentin, he started having diarrhea, vomiting. After 3 days of the medicine his infection and temperature (kept peaking to 39.4) was no better. I took him back to the Pediatrition every single day but on the 4, it was only then, they decided to stop the Augmentin as they now thought it was Viral. They didn't advise to take anything more other than fluid and to not worry about the food intake. As soon as we stopped the Augmentin, the vomiting and diarrhea stopped. 2 days later and almost back to perfect health!!

[b'>If either party is not willing to renew the tenancy contact ,two- month advance notice shall be given to the other party prior to the expiry of the current contract.[/b'>[u'>[/u'> This doesn't mean he can kick her out if she doesn't agree to the increase. He has to have a legit reason and kicking her out because he isn't allowed to increase the rent will not stand. Our Landlord recently tried to Increase our rent, when he couldn't he wanted to kick us out. We called Rera and because we was already paying well within the Average for the area he couldn't. Also, he couldn't kick us out as our terms stated 60 days notice where to be given to vacat, and he had only given 40 - this allowing us to automatically renew for 1 year. You will here alot of different cases though, Rera are deffinetly the best point of call.

I'm sure this is an unusual post but as ladies on here are so helpful, I thought it would be worth asking. My Husband is dying to get hold of Guitar Hero, but for the life of me, I can't find one anywhere in Dubai. Anyone know where I can get one or anyone who is selling one?

Had my one and only brunch there so difficult for me to compare, but I didn't see my kids for 4 hours so that was a sure sign of success for me! They had a great time, loads of stuff there as you mentioned for the kids and their own food section. Think it was ibn battuta gate hotel, a movenpick hotel I think, would definitely go again with kids in tow!! Thanks for this - will try and find more info on it to book for tomorrow ;-)
