You mean that dodgy Safa school in Al Quoz? It doesn't look very nice? I thought there was a nice Safa school somewhere near Meydan? This one: http://safaschooldubai.com/contact-us/ not Safa Private School in Al Quoz which is different. Safa private school is not dodgy my kids go there and are doing fantastic. I don't think a fancy building gives your child a good education???? What's a silly response lol

Momentum sell Shellac in Dubai. They have a shop in Satwa area, I think to get it you would have to buy a basis starter kit

I use a marine based brand here called Phytoceane, it's sold through salons and spas here. They do not test on animals and the brand is also so enviromentally friendly even during its production stage. I also seen a new nail brand here in the UAE that is organic with vegan nail polishes, sounds great :)

Hi Jasmine, I remember feeling the exact same at one time and had no mummy friends to ask back then :( . I have two small ones now and went to Doctor Yamini both times. I had a really good experience with her, she is easy to talk to and very professional. She is based in the new Al Zahra hospital SZR which is very nice. They do tours so you can book and see what you think, best of luck :)

Hi, Just want to totally disagree with Deckname. I delivered my second child at Al Zahra a few months ago and had a fantastic experience. I had an epidural and not once were the staff pushing me to do it naturally. They were 100% supportive of all my wishes and midwives are all lovely, I met them all due to a very complicated pregnancy :) I would not hesitate to go back if i have a third

Hi, Have any of you ladies been to Mauritius in September? What was the weather like? Have read some mixed reviews on the internet so . We are bringing two small boys so want to be able to spend our days at the beach and by the pool. I am willing to wait till October if it will make a big difference. Thanks :)

Hi, I delivered at Al Zahra a few months ago and have stuck with seeing the paediatrician there so far so good. I have been seeing Dr Ayman he is friendly, pleasant and has always answered all my questions. I recommend giving him a try see what you think. It is so convenient for me as well, easy to park and not too busy so don't feel I am half the day at the doctors :)

I bet Sally at Zahra could recommend you someone good. After delivering there a while back I got the impression you can have anything you want that makes you feel comfortable and happy. Just to add I had one of the British midwives with me for my entire labour she was so encouraging and supportive, she never left the room. Dr Yamini watched on as she delivered my baby, she talked me through every step and I delivered very easy. A very different experience to that of my first baby i had here it was so calm . I am having flashbacks of my husband in the delivery room dragging chairs about and cracking stupid jokes lol, think they do be dead nervous :)

Hi, Sounds well within range, also enjoy this time I had a horrendous second pregnancy and only gained 8kg in total with one complication after another and loads of growth scans. Don't be worrying about kilos along as you and your baby are healthy :)

Hi, All the previous advice is great and once you get in the habit of doing a cleanse, tone and moisturising routine morning and evening it becomes part of your day. I work as a skincare trainer here, some people are blessed with amazing genes and get away with soap and water others need help like myself.I would recommend that you use an eye cream on the eye area not your moisturiser, include your neck and décolleté in your daily routine. Stick to one brand if you can as combining lots of active ingredients on the skin is not good, the products were not tested this way. If you like to do an exfoliation use horizontal and vertical movements not circles its so much kinder to your skin. A weekly mask can be a nice skin booster pop it on before you shower the steam will speed up the effects. Treat yourself to nice facial at the salon if they use a good brand the results can last weeks :)

Thanks for the replies I will try the tablets and get moving as well. Its all the trapped gas and I have had some awful shoulder pain as well. I actually found giving birth easier than going through this procedure.

I had laproscopic surgery five days ago and my abdomen is so bloated from the carbon dioxide and doesn't seem to be improving at all. Does anyone have any natural remedies or tips to help this? Really need to squeeze into my clothes next week ;)

I have major battles with my son who is nearly 3 now and always have. It has now become a job for myself and DH. My DH makes him laugh really hard so his mouth is open and I scrub as quick as I can its ridiculous. Am dying to hear more replies on this as anyone else I have asked doesn't have this issue.

I think I really do need it done as there is a risk of my ovary twisting and this can cause other complications. Doctor was hoping it would shrink after I delivered, as this is generally the case but mine has grown considerably. I am feeling discomfort all the time and pain when on my feet all day Timing isn't great but I don't think there will ever be a good time. I have been seeing this doctor for many years and don't think she would be doing this unnecessarily. i

Hi, I have a large ovarian dermoid cyst which doctor wants to remove laproscopically. Just wondering from those who have had a similar procedure what the recovery is like? I had a baby six weeks ago and also have a two year old that I take care of at home. How many days would you recommend my husband stays home from work as we have no family here to help us. Thanks

I know I am in the same position as you, just had a baby and all my friends are working. It has been fine for the first few weeks but am now feeling a little lonely. Has anyone gone along to the coffee mornings alone and made feel very welcome?

Hi, I go regularly to Reflections for facials, they use a French skincare brand called Phytoceane. They have something for every skin type. I can recommend Jane, she will do a consultation and recommend what is best for you. I have to say my skin feels great for weeks after and i have even bought the products to use at home.

Littlelou I was admitted a couple of times in Al Zahra prior to giving birth and I met the Doctor head of NICU on both occasions. They assured me they would have been able to care for my son if he had of been born prematurely. They made me feel like we were both in safe hands. I never had any problems getting an appointment with Dr Yamini phoning just a couple of days in advance as well and will always see you immediately if you feel something is wrong.

I loved the British midwives there my day in labour flew by chatting to them, they are really planning to make Al Zahra different from all the other hospitals in Dubai. The birthing pool will be fantastic when its up and running, there is only one in Ajman and its only been used once they told me. Dr Yamini is really in favour of natural and really allows the midwives to be hands on. I was in preterm labour from 28 weeks and list of other complications right till the end and never once were they rushing to csection me. I ended up delivering at just 39 weeks by following and having the best delivery. I was so happy after been really stressed thinking our baby would be born very premature. Best of luck with your pregnancies and I hope you's get on as well as I did.

Yes that's the Al Zahra I stayed at. They do have an NICU unit there, I went into pre term labor at 32 weeks and they assured me they could take care of baby there. You will be well looked after, best of luck with your pregnancy :)

I just had my 2nd baby at Al Zahra this week . I had a great experience giving birth. The midwives were amazing so helpful and caring. I was a patient of Doctor Yaminis who I would also highly recommend.

Hi, She is really pro natural births and has been right through my pregnancy, I even have quite a large cyst at the minute and she would rather treat it six weeks after I give birth so it will be a less invasive procedure than having a c section. Best of luck with your pregnancy.

Hi, I am a patient of Dr Yaminis at Al Zahra and due to give birth any day now. I cannot recommend her enough or the hospital. I have been in pre term labour since 28 weeks so have spent many nights at the hospital already. She has taken every step to get me to carry full term and it has worked. She also delivered my first baby a couple of years ago and I had a really good experience. If you have any questions feel free to ask me.

Hi im 26 weeks pregnant with my second and am attending the new Al Zahra hospital. Im seeing Doctor Yamini who delivered my first son at Welcare, everything went perfect with her so i followed her to Al Zahra. At the moment i have had to claim back my insurance as they are in the process of organising direct billing but they hope to have this resolved really soon. I had a tour of the hospital last week and the facilities are really nice, I'm actually looking forward to my two night stay lol.
