My DS is on the spectrum and is echolalic - it's a form of speech delay as he echoes (repeats) much of what is said to him. Having a conversation with him was nearly impossible as he would just repeat random phrases that he had heard, sometimes many many months beforehand. Anyways, that was when he was 4; now he is 4.5 and he's been having regular therapy with Reach Out based in Knowledge Village. The team there have worked wonders; we can now communicate much better with our son and he can hold a great conversation.

I'm told the minimum spend is Dhs1,200. When my DH heads to our local a+e to prepare for a BBQ or other social gathering at our place, he easily spends close to that - but a hefty chunk of that is purely on tax! (Oh and probably his Fosters). No, I still think this Centaurus sounds decent value, not to mention a convenient service.

Hello, you could try CEIMC (Child Early Intervention Medical Centre) in Dubai Healthcare City - I know they offer a full range of speech services - or Reach Out in Knowledge Village are also excellent.

The place on Mankhool Road in Satwa, opposite from the old Rydges Plaza hotel is always a winner for thali. Super cheap, super tasty.

My friend got bridesmaid dresses (copied from a fancy design) made by Dreamgirl tailors in Satwa. Excellent quality. I've also used Hamid from Dreamgirl at the same branch and he's made numerous posh evening dresses for me over the years. Can't recommend them highly enough. They're on Satwa Road close to the big mosque and the post office.
