Hello, I've been on Reem for two years, in Marina Square. I have to say I disagree about the taxi situation. For the first year and a half I didn't have a car. Initially, it was harder to get a taxi when one just waits outside, but now its pretty easy. But, when I used to call, they'd come 90% of the time in the ETA that it stated on the phone. You pay like 3.50 extra when you call, but its worth not having the hassle of waiting outside, especially during the summer. Buses- I work at a school and I know a few teachers who take the bus into work. From what I hear its pretty reliable and timely. I do not know the exact frequency of it, but at least in the morning I know they're are two that are about 20-30 minutes after the other. Facilities: I think the facilities are great. Marina square has pools, bbq areas, gyms. Sun/Sky are much more extensive- with bigger gyms, more equipment, steam room/Sauna (although other building I've seen on Reem do as well), tennis, etc. Geant in Marina square has pretty much everything I need. Sun/Sky has some restaurants. Galleria mall, techinically on AL Maryah island, is five minutes away and also has some places that deliver and the shopping there is high-end brands. But, Wahdah Mall and AD mall and 10 minutes away.

I've lived in Marina Square for two years and just finished processing paperwork for a place in Sun Tower for July. I'm surprised by the previous post as most people I know love Sun/Sky tower. It's considered the premium spot to be in Al Reem and often in Abu Dhabi. During my time in Marina Square, its been fine. The supermarket Geant opened a larger store a little while ago. Its super convenient as its right under the building. I live in Burooj Views and I have great views of the marina and city. Each floor plan is different, but my apartment has a big living room and master bedroom. There's only two of us, so storage wise we use the guest bedroom. I think Reem Island is very convenient, from Marina square its 5 minutes to AD mall, 10-15 minutes to the Corniche, 20-25 minutes to Marina mall. Sun/Sky is only five minutes further into Reem Island. We are moving to Sun tower in a few weeks. We had to move because of the rent increase in my current place. We're actually moving to a 1 bdrm, sacrificing the 2nd room because we felt for us it was worth having the extra amenities- tennis courts, huge gyms with steam room/sauna, spinning, etc. I know people who live in Sun/Sky and love it. The mall is right downstairs, Waitrose, subway, restaurants. I'm surprised that the previous person said they couldn't find what they need there. I always shop at Geant and the only thing I really cant get there is my preferred almond milk brand. In Sun tower, the unit we saw the tenants still lived there and there was ample storage. There's a study area connected to the living room and they had an armoire that fit nicely into the wall space, plus the bathroom had a storage area. I think the space was great for two people. OK, that's all for now;)

Hi Busybee, Your post last year was the one I saw that put me on the path to Dr. Jozsa. I posted on that same question asking the original poster about her experience, but haven't received a response. I was curious about her reasons for going with a different doctor. Anyhow, I saw Dr. Jozsa today and feel that I will switch to him. He seemed knowledgeable and explained things well, even with my constant questions about things I had researched. But, I haven't found much other than from you regarding his laparoscopic procedures. I see mostly blogs and comments about deliveries. I'm glad to hear that you also have a friend who had the surgery as well. That helps. Thankfully my insurance will cover all of it with him, so I wont have to pay anything out of pocket. Thanks! Hello, I did see one thread mentioning Dr. Christian Jozsa (Healthbay/City Hospital)regarding laparoscopic surgery. However, I have not seen anything else on the internet about people doing this procedure with him. Most people have blogs and information about their birth/delivery experiences which have been great. I am just looking for a few other responses. I talked to the nurse and she said most of his gynecological patients are for this procedure, so I am wondering where they are. I am wondering about a laparoscopic myomectomy (fibroid removal) in particular but any laparoscopic procedure experience information with him would be helpful. Lastly, in case anyone answers, if you can add if you had to pay any out of pocket expenses that your insurance did not cover that would be helpful to know. I had a consult with Dr. Rajesh Devassy and I've been told I would need to pay out of pocket 9,000 aed and that no insurance plans cover these items. thanks! hi if you do a search i mentioned it a few times on here. i had it done back in august of last year, did loads of research, was recommended to him by my gynae in auh (where i live) dr tank who is very well respected here and up till recently did the surgerys herself, but now doesnt... i researched a lot about him, he has done the procedures hundreds and hundreds of times etc... also a friend of mine just had one done a few weeks ago, but wasnt in city hospital was in a new one behind moe, think it may have just changed i went to city. in the end i had a partial hysterectomy because of fibroids, because of my age, having had kids so that was the best procedure to do for me..... all went well, no probs at all. i have recommended him many times, and wouldnt hestiate to again.. lived in auh for long time, and always research any medical procedure to make sure getting someone fit for the job not just what it costs.... we had adnic insurance and it was all covered, the procedure all in cost something like 50k tho.

Hello, This is a little late and I hope you see it sunset. But, I am pretty much in your exact situation....but just one fibroid. I am trying to find the right doctor for me. I have been to Dr. Rajesh and another Dr. in AD. I am just confused. One reason being Dr. Rajesh is asking that I pay an extra thousands of dirhams even though I have insurance and its being covered. I am curious about your experience with Dr. Christian. You mentioned in the thread that you had an appointment...then the next thing you said was you had the surgery with Dr. Hafeez. BTW Dr. Hafeez is MIA...apparently the modern hospital said he is on leave (or something) and do not know when/if he's coming back. So, he is not an option for me right now. I just called Healthbay trying to reach Dr. Jozsa's nurse, but was not able to reach her and left my phone number. Any insights would be helpful. I feel like I'm going in circles :/
