For those Kiwi's who were wondering about the Prometric exam, I am sitting mine in Melbourne at the end of March. I am going over there on holiday and spoke to Sidra about sitting it then and they said to go ahead. I was concerned about how long it has taken to get this far with relocating I would not be in a position to get over there sit an exam and wait another six weeks before I could work. Has anyone sat there's yet?

Mayanurse1, just wondering if you have a date that you are leaving Aus and have you been asked to work on any special projects before the hospital opens? I am just interested in what they have indicated to nurses what they will be doing before the hospital opens. Thanks :)

I am in the same boat as you PetkoNZ. I have heard the rumours about the extended opening time but I have also had two friend who are RN's who have been told that they want to uplift them from NZ as soon as possible. So who really knows.

Just wondering for those of you who have dates for relocation in the new year, what positions you have. The recent information that I have heard through a friend is that Sidra will not be opening until the first quarter of 2016 and relocation for RN's will not take place for another year. I just wondered if anyone had heard anything different. Thanks :)

Hi PetkoNZ Im in Auckland and looking a a position in Paediatric Home care, would be keen yo make contact, not sure how to keep in touch, Ive had an email to say they are keen to get me over soon. I know quite a few Kiwis over there all ex Starshp!! (Im was 13 years ago) edited by PJ11 on 17/11/2014 edited by PJ11 on 17/11/2014 Hi Again I started this journey back in Dec 2012 and then forgot about it...they contacted me in April this year with two interviews one in Paediatric Home Care and one in Ambulatory...Paeds Home Care was my background, but Ambulatory interviewed first and offered me the position about two weeks after my interview. Then I heard nothing until June. They asked me for paperwork etc...then no reply from them until the end of September - I had almost given up! I got my contract beginning of October, signed it and then heard nothing until two weeks ago. I'm now on a waiting list for a start date early next year, whatever that means. I have also met another kiwi through a friend who is currently working in Saudi, we email each other...she's in the same boat as me as far as processing stages goes and will be working on the Gynae wards...Are you currently at Starship? I'm glad there are a few kiwis over there...makes me feel a whole lot confident in knowing that...I was going to put my email on here, but my husband just growled me! hehehe edited by PetkoNZ on 17/11/2014 Hi All, there are four of us who work on the 6th Floor at Starship who are coming over, two of us in Neuro and two is med specs. Nice to hear that there are a few more kiwis going over. We have all just got our contracts and are in the process of signing and moving on to T3 as they call it for relocation dates. Happy to share emails with you for extra Sidra/Starship contacts :) Hi emnz That's great to hear...I signed my contract beginning of October. I received an email from my Sidra recruitment specialist who has advised I'm now in phase 3 of the process, which is the final process and they just waiting to confirm a start date, but to expect at least 3mths notice...Have you gone through a recruitment agency such as Geneva Health for this role? Looking forward to meeting some of you in the future... Cheers  Oh that is awesome, I am going to sign mine this week. I just have a couple of questions before I sign on the dotted line hehe. I had been following Sidra for a while on Social Media after I had heard about them through Geneva when I looked at going to Saudi a couple of years ago, but for this role just through the website and the same for two of the others. One went through an English company when they found her on Linkedin. As for meeting up that sounds great, always good to have another contact while we are away and build a network base for. Keep us posted with how you get on :)

Hi emnz.:) another forum is http://britishexpats.com/forum/. Very, very informative even for me in the USA. Just got an email from Cavendish Staffing. "I received was that internally there have been a few delays and the Recruitment Manager is currently on leave. I should have an update for you by the end of next week.":party::biggrin: I hope I hear something next week for sure. Patience. Thanks RRTNICU Will have a look through it today. Where in the US are you based? It is comforting knowing that everyone else around the world is having these same struggles with HR not just our little contingent down here in NZ.

Hello emnz. Good questions and patience seems to be the word. Yes when is Sidra opening? Last I heard March 2015? I am still waiting on the salary/employment agreement. On other forums I'm reading that they will hire us for January 2015 as the start up personnel. How much is any of this true? What's the scoop? I certainly can't quit and then find out it will be delayed. Yikes.;) Hi RRTNICU What other forums do you follow? A friend just moved to Dubai and suggested here which is great, but I am open to scoping out what other are saying else where. I have two friends who are planning on coming to Sidra from my ward at home in NZ and they are in the same boat, don't want to get locked into a contract if we are not being relocated until June or July next year.

Hi All, So I received my Employment Agreement overnight for a level three RN position. Is anyone else at this stage yet. It looks very stock standard and straight forward from what I have read so far. I am reluctant to sign it and go ahead with the process if RN's are 6 plus months out from relocating. Has anyone been given any indication of the time of their relocation. Initially in my interview back in May they said November which is almost on it's way out. Any estimates would be great. Thanks ladies... scary but exciting process we are going through.

Hi Ladies, I have been offered a job in the Neuro ward and I have been sent my salary and benefits packages which I had to agree to before they would make the next step which is applying for visa's etc. Once that has come through they will offer a contract. PetkoNZ where in NZ are you based? I am in Auckland :)
