Great thanks! I know there is a walk in one in the Dubai mall. Can you go there? Anyone been? X

I only moved here in October, so have never been as yet. Where would you recommend? I live and work at opposite ends of town, so can really go to most places without hassle! X

I think Martins is the one! Do they have a website? What do you normally get from them?

Hi all, Was speaking to someone at the weekend that was telling me about a meat delivery service out here and I cant remember the name of it. Any suggestions? I believe the meat is delivered frozen, and the pack is designed to last about a week? Although I believe it is enough to last longer. Thanks!

Great thank you! I take it they have a minimum amount of time per week that they would do? How long would you normally have them for with a one bedroom apartment? Sorry, totally new to all this! :-)

Within the UK to give financial planning advice you need to have a certain level of qualification, but out here that isn't the case. I spoke with someone last week who was telling me how great his advisor was, he was earning lots of money and didn't even need to be qualified as if that was a good thing which really surprised me! Best to look for a company that is working to UK best practice.

Haha! Fit like! :-) More than happy meeting new people not from Aberdeen as I have been doing already, just curious really! Settling in well so far I think! Still feels like a bit of a holiday at the moment I think! x

Afternoon, Sorry to hear you have had a bad experience with this. I moved to Dubai just a couple of weeks back and work in the Financial Services industry. I must say, I have really had my eyes opened. Coming from the UK where standards as very high, it is quite surprising the goings on over here. If you have any general questions to help rectify your situation, I would be more than happy to answer to try and help. Best of luck.

I thought this might be the case. Can't wait to get over there to start visiting some of the places rather than reading about them online or in a book! ?

Evening all ? I am moving to Dubai in October, and don't want to commit to a lease until I have been able to view a property in person. We are looking at leasing a property for a month (there are a couple on proeortyfinder) but are all leases for 12 months rather than being able to do so for say 6 months? 12 months seems like quite a long time to commit to an area I don't know very well ? We are going to be working right behind the Dubai mall. We really fancy downtown and the marina, but can't decide! Any advice? We won't have a car. Thank you!
