I wrote this message a couple of month ago and can report that in the end I settled for keeping my little one home. In September he will start at Cocoon Nursery and very impressed by what we saw so far. They have been going for more than 10 years so I am feeling confident.

Another nursery which I thought was well established, announced their closure. I was with Palms Nursery before and they closed at the end of April. How will I know that the nursery I choose for my 14 month old won't close too after a few months?

Your best bet would be to do a Cache course. Find a nursery that will take you as a volunteer as you will have to proof that you can gain experience before you can enroll.

Watch out for Eyes-Me in Tecom where you can do the Cache course weekly classes. Their standards just aren't what it used to be. Tutors are constantly changing and don't even get me started on the parking. After my friends informed me about this I started the course online with Open Study college. So far so good.

The villa is just off Buffalo Wings on Jumeirah Beach Road. Al Sasha street and it is the double storey white cottage type villas on your right. Just knock on any of the doors and one of the neighbours will take you to the villa that is going vacant. Good luck with your search. Also look up Parklane Estate Agents they might be of help.

I have loads of old magazines, mostly from South Africa. Does anyone know of a place that might make good use of them? Someone once mentioned donating them to the prisons which I am happy to do but not sure who to contact in this regards. Any advice?

Have a look on Airbnb. The chances are good that you will find something reasonable there.

We are at Kid's Island nursery in Jumeirah and my DD loves it. I visited about 5 nurseries in the area and in the end my choice was between Kid's Island and Kids Cottage. Took Kid's Island because the lady who did the tour was great and spend more than an hour answering all our questions.

If you are interested in getting together, let me know I am 46 year old, divorced mum and as most of my friends spend time over the weekends with their families - wouldn't mind going out for brunch or exploring Dubai.

I saw about 7 different nurseries and eventually settled on Kid's Island. I liked the feeling of the place when we walked in and my DD immediately felt at place there.

I read the book The Belly Fat diet and have been following it for the last 3 weeks - (with the exception of Christmas day). Can definitely feel and see the difference. Interval training as well as the kind of food you eat influences the fat around your stomach. According to the book hormones plays a big part, enough sleep and taking the right supplements. Vitamin C / Fish Oils / Vit B Good luck!
