My son is happy there. Everyone seems really nice.so far a very good experience. I think the number of students will increase over the year but so far is a relatively small school. We live downtown and it's about 15/20 minutes drive.

I don't know much as I am new to Dubai, but I came across something called "mums at work". Good luck

We are new to Dubai, so I can't really advice on the traffic. We moved from Scotland and the curriculum is different but my son goes to OakTree and so far we are very pleased with it. Everyone seems really nice and the school has good facilities. I know another mum from my son's class who lives in the springs and she seems to be okay with the traffic, I think she mentioned anything around 15/20 minutes which is the same for us (we stay in downtown). Good luck

Hi wander I still in Scotland but things have been shipped and are on their way to Dubai (north of Spain... According to the tracking!). So far the process has been very smooth and I hope things will continue this way. We used a company called Anglo Pacific. Good luck

Hi, We are relocating from the UK and our 6 will join OakTree. I know it's always a bit a gamble but in such a competitive market I think new schools will add an extra effort to be good. I have spoken with some friends in education, some based at UAE and I am relatively confident in our decision. The team at OakTree has very experienced educators, who are very familiar with Dubai.

Sorry to hijack the thread. Sharlene, we are also moving from Scotland in a couple of weeks. We used a company based in London but with an office in Glasgow and sent a few things a couple of weeks ago. The biggest items were seats for the children, high chairs, telly, computer and everything else were boxes (19!) and we paid around £1k(including insurance). Good luck to both!

Hi, We are moving in a couple of weeks and decided to go to a new primary school called OakTree. It's always a bit of a gamble with new schools, but their aims and ethos looked very good. However it might be a bit too far for you. Good luck !
