Nearly everywhere has seen a rent reduction from 2016 so I’d be surprised if he can increase it. Hi, please take a look at this article. http://www.expatwoman.com/dubai/monthly_pets_vets_banned_dogs_17700.aspx It seems quite unclear if the list will definitely be expanded and what it actually means but it may be worth taking advice on bringing your German Shepherd to Dubai. I would recommend you speak to DKC (Dubai Kennels & Cattery). Really good reputation and will be able to help you with relocating your dog. When you are here, you could check out My Second Home who have a great indoor dog park with a pool for the hot days of the summer months. It's also a really good place for you to meet other like-minded dog owners. Best of luck!

I just rented a car a couple of weeks ago as we just sold one of ours. I rented from Budget and they didn't want my Emirates license at all as they need one that has been held for at least 1 year so I gave my U.K. License and my UAE address. So I can't see you will have any problem hiring a car at all. However my understanding is that you should get your UAE licence asap if you have residency. Good luck!

BTW I agree that leaving dog mess for someone else to clear up is unacceptable. As a dog owner myself I would never do this and nor would most people I know. It's the irresponsible minority that are ruining it for everyone.

We moved a couple of months ago from the UK and I can highly recommend Ellen Wings at Better Homes. She helped us find our villa and was excellent in all regards. Contact her at [email protected]. I can also recommend the removal and shipping company we used. Really good service, lovely team of people who packed and loaded the container and they have a Dubai partner who deal with customs clearance and delivery of your stuff in Dubai. They were mid price if the Ines we had quote and we would definitely use them again. Simpson's Removals +44 1322 386969. Hope this helps!
