Every year, we eagerly await the arrival of Christmas adverts on our television sets. While some of you may find it a little too early for your liking, there's no denying that we all enjoy a little Christmas cheer in the lead up to the day itself.
Some of the most biggest and most-loved brands across the globe battle to secure top spot for the number 1 Christmas advert, and so we've gathered our favourite ones of 2016 to help you decide which one you love the most!
Grab a box of tissues, stick on your favourite holiday jumper and enjoy...
#1: Marks & Spencer's 'Christmas with Love'
This one will no doubt tug at the heart-strings of anyone who has one sibling or more, whether they're near or far... After all, despite all the bickering you may have between you all, the festive season is the time to show them just how much you really do care for and love them.
Hats off to the British powerhouse, as M&S have truly captured the spirit of Christmas... And we're thankful we have Mrs. Claus to the rescue!
#2: Macy's '#OldFriends'
It's one that no doubt resonates with all of us; as the years go by, and we and our loved ones surrounding us age beautifully, great memories and traditions may go un-missed outside of our control. If anyone else shed a tear around 0:52, just know, you're not the only one!
#4: John Lewis' '#BusterTheBoxer'
Backed by the recognisable song, One Day I'll Fly Away, John Lewis' 2016 Christmas advert will no doubt give you the ~feels~. Any animal-lover watching will no doubt find themselves with goosebumps and anticipation as we see Buster watch all of the fun he's missing out on.

However, while John Lewis' advert is one of the most hugely anticipated one each year, this year they've been criticised for ruining Santa for children watching... Perhaps this A Level student's John Lewis-esque project should have been used, instead?
#5: Duracell's 'How the Rebels Saved Christmas'
Combine brave rebels and a daring mission, with a lot of Star Wars love and you have a fantastic commercial that no only warms hearts and pleases fans of the popular movie series, but also has a fantastic cause behind it. Duracell has teamed up with Children's Miracle Network Hospitals this year to help power the imagination of brave children rebels everywhere.
#6: Not On the High Street's '#MagicOfGifting'
This one's a fantastic reminder of the hard work, love and effort that goes into a lot of gifts and presents that loved ones receive. Giving thanks to their 5000+ crafters sorry, elves, NOTHS's 2016 advert is one that will inevitably make you smile. Especially when they show that cuddle testing area at 0:25 - we totally want to give that a try!
#8: Target's 'Getting Ready for the Holidays'
With well-known and recognisable characters, there's no doubt Target's latest festive ad will appeal to all children and teenagers in the run-up to the big day itself. We can all appreciate that small moment of panic as we realise there's lots and lots to do... We only wish we had the help of The Hulk, Iron Man and Elmo to help us in real life!
#9: Xfinity's Hooking Up Grandma's House
This is one that's bound to induce laughter as no doubt, many of us can relate. For the tech-savvy youngsters amongst us, it's understandable that a trip to the grandparent's might mean being off the radar on our social media accounts, but that doesn't necessarily have to be the case as the team behind Xfinity's Christmas 2016 advert have demonstrated.
#10: Waitrose's #HomeforChristmas
It's one that has been described as knocking John Lewis off the top of the best Christmas advert pedestal... As everyone has fallen in love with the gorgeous robin that stars in their 2016 Christmas TVC. Especially when he gets saved on the boat... *tears*
This one most definitely gives us the ~feels~ as a lot of us can relate. As Hugh Grant pointed out in the film Love Actually, London Heathrow at Christmas is a place filled with love and happiness as families are reunited for the Christmas season. And this is most perfectly captured in the airport's 2016 Christmas advert. Following the journey of two grandparent teddy bears, we're left in tears as they finally are able to wrap their arms around their grandchildren. Love it!
#12: #Zeitschenken - EDEKA Weihnachtswerbung
Remember the German company that brought us the old man feigning his death to his family last Christmas... Only for them to find him waiting at home, in need of some time as a family together? Yep. Tear-jerker. Well, it seems we may have been spared ugly crying faces with their 2016 ad. Although, those of you who are balls of fluff might silently shed one or two tears... Follow the journey of one family as they demonstrate the true meaning of what the holiday season is all about.
#13: WWF's #iProtectTigers
For any animal lover out there, no doubt this one will pull on your heartstrings. In fact, it should pull on the heartstrings of every human watching it as a sad reality of the damages our race can do to the natural world and our neighbours on Earth. Witness an ordinary family wake up one day to find a huge tiger in their home and follow their efforts in helping the tiger get back to his natural habitat. Where can we sign up to be a Tiger Protector, too!?
