Safaris near Capetown

Hi ladies,
Has any of you been on one of those malaria-free safaris around Cape Town? I have researched a bit and a place called Sanbona seems nice and kids friendly but I am not sure if it's worth staying for a couple of days or better take a day trip only. We really need to see some wild animals, preferably the big 5 but will not get a chance to travel long distances. Any recommendations highly appreciated! TIA
