Science is not all about theoretical knowledge; it is a skills based subject too. Children need to learn to question things and workout why things happen and most importantly, have fun along the way! This is where Rock It Science steps in.

Rock It Science is a new concept that makes learning science fun, and is sure to have your kids asking to learn more!

What is Rock It Science?

With a missing gap in the market for innovative, quality children’s birthday entertainment (science parties), Rock It Science evolved and became a unique concept in the entertainment community.

The parties officially begin when the children start dressing up in science lab coats and get personalized professor name badges along with safety glasses before entering the ‘laboratory’.

How can kids learn from a Rock It Science party?

With a number of exciting experiments and interactive demonstrations (using non-toxic material) during the science show, the children are given an opportunity to do some hands-on science experiments of their own, before having a rocket launch for the grand finale. Rock It Science offers three options of party themes; Harry Potter Potion’s Party, Crazy Chemical Chaos Party, Fizzics Flying Fun.

Harry Potter Potion’s Party
When children arrive, they will enter from the Hogwarts Express and use the sorting hat to find out their house. They can wear their house ties (which are provided) and pose for a photograph as an escaped wizard from Azkaban. Children are encouraged to come dressed up for the party.

Children then take a potions class with Professor McGonagal and Trelawny. The table is decorated with themed props such as bottles for potion making from slug and jiggers Apothecary. They begin by witnessing the powerful magic of the Professors in a fun show with great experiments such as coloured flames and sparks, bubbling potions, black smoke, levitating objects and explosions!

The children will also get to make their own potions; dancing unicorn milk and flubberworm slime.

Fizzics Flying Fun
An interactive show with magic blood chemicals, firing canisters, hair raising static electricity experiments, hilarious voice distortion, levitating objects and the amazing flying loo roll.

The children will also get to choose one of the following hands on activities:
- Cartesian diver: children make a diver in a bottle which can sink or float.
- Silppery Slime: Children make their own slime to take home with them.

The show ends with an outdoor rocket launch finale!

Crazy Chemical Chaos
The interactive Rock It Science show features magic polymers, crazy colour changing chemicals, balloon kebabs, exploding canisters, amazing smoke rings, and foam and fire explosions.

The children will also get to choose a hands-on activity:
- Wacky worms: children mix chemicals to make long jelly like worms
- Lava lamps: children make their own lava lamps using oil and food colouring
- Slippery Slime: children make their own slime to take home with them

The show ends with an outdoor rocket launch finale!

Does Rock It Science offer any other services?

Rock It Science offers extra-curricular activities that reach children about the wonders of science and engage them in an informative way. Each week children will get the opportunity to explore different science topics through discovery based learning activities. They will watch some amazing demonstrations and get to do their own exciting hands on experiments. These are designed to get pupils to make predictions and explain their observations.

Nichola says...

"I want to share my passion and teach children the wonders of science. Learning should be fun and children should make observations and understand the things around them.”
