Even though Hong Kong is a popular expat destination, living there can get quite expensive. So when there are chances to save, why not take them?  

Here are some of the saving tips we’ve come across that you might find helpful! They'll also allow you to explore and experience more of this busy place.

1. Take advantage of the galleries

If you’re looking for a night out that won’t cost you anything, just check out the Sheung Wan galleries. You’ll always find either a gallery opening or a show at one of the galleries. They serve food and wine for free while you enjoy the art.

2. Free drinks

If you go to Insomnia at Lan Kwai Fong (LFK) between 9-11pm on Tuesdays, you’ll get unlimited free drinks if you give them your business card.
