Brunch, in the city that never sleeps, in not necessarily just a case of eggs benedict mid morning; brunch in Hong Kong is more of a Champagne and Cocktail Sunday affair. There are so many wonderful restaurants that serve five star foods, and on Sunday morning they will be whipping up a lavish spread complete with free flowing champagne or cocktails. We take a look at some of the most popular Sunday brunch spots in Hong Kong.

Zuma

Menu: Zuma has a worldwide reputation for being one of the best sushi restaurants and this brunch delivers. They start you off with an array of sushi and sashimi, and mains include salmon and beef fillet – all with an unmistakable Japanese flavor. Between bites you can sip on Sake, wines and champagne. The Zuma brunch is so popular that it happens once on a Saturday and twice on a Sunday and booking is essential.

Lilly and Bloom

Menu: Lilly and Bloom does brunch differently, join them from 11am – 4pm for their lazy semi buffet brunch experience. The brunch is a food only offer and free flow bellinis can be bought at an additional cost. It is one of the loveliest experiences in Hong Kong.

The Pawn

Menu: The Pawn is a converted colonial pawnshop that was created with a vision to be an adult playground. The restaurant has four floors including a roof top botanical-esque garden. The brunch menu is extensive,  and all menu items including drinks are individually priced. The venu makes it a fun atmosphere and the food is decent too.

Principal

Menu: Instead of the usual buffet style set up, the Principal lays the table with cheeses and cold cuts. They offer European infused dishes and free flowing juices, wines, beer and French champagne. The dessert will definitely demand space – each dessert is more delicious then the last.

Ozone

Menu: Enjoy French champagne and gorgeous views at Ozone. Brunch is served from 12-3pm and has a wide variety of cuisines including Indian, Asian and seafood among others. The brunch is served with free flow cocktails and selected spirits.

Whisk

Menu: This restaurant is known for their gorgeous dessert and decadent Michelin star dining. There are two brunch timeslots with an alcoholic and non-alcoholic option. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, a DJ and a close up magician to keep diners entertained. The most exciting thing about this brunch – the menu changes often, so it’s never boring.

The Steak House

Menu: Known for their succulent steaks, this brunch will not disappoint. Add champagne and wine to the mix and you’re bound to have a great time. If you love food then this is the place to be, the food is Michelin starred and always great and with 450 wines to choose from, the selection is great.

The Lobby at the Peninsula

Menu: If you’re after some of that Gatsby-esque 1920’s decadence then don’t miss the Peninsula lobby brunch, every Saturday and Sunday from 9am-1pm. It’s not so much about the food as it is about the glamour and ambience. The brunch is a three-course meal served with Champagne and accompanied by ‘delightful music.’

208 Duecento Otto

Menu: This brunch is a little different, the menu is a la carte and each item is individually priced, this can make this brunch a messy affair or a great venue for a time out. The free flow beverages, that include prosecco, wine and Peroni draft, can be paid for separately of the food and the promo ends at 3pm.
