1) sorry you had this experience, its just awful I know, thank heavens you are safe now. 2) you [u'>[b'>must[/b'> [/u'>report it, as others have said if only to put a stop to this guys' idea that he can get away with such things...if not he will attempt more the next time with some other unsuspecting female 3) sometimes you have to be the alpha in such situations, a sharp 'stand back, do not come close to me' in the strongest most intimidating voice you can muster is in order ANY time you feel your personal space is being invaded by a member of the opposite gender. You have to define the boundaries, make your space be respected. 4) never EVER allow someone to approach you, touch you or even stand too close to you. If you are uncomfortable you have every RIGHT to make that known 5) if you have a father, brother, husband, grown son, helpful co worker or someone like that in your life go back to that place and find that guy and let your man stare the ****** in the eyes and confront the so and so! edited by souqcrawler on 24/02/2013

wow, what a terrible neighbour you have! Gosh, doesn't sound like a big deal to me, and I think as another poster said, she's just trying to bully you. It would bother me if someone parked outside my villa day in and day out - (akin to flying on a plane when people put their excess carry-ons in the bin above MY seat - therefore making me find some other bin to put my carry-ons in) - but goodness, on a temporary basis? and to 'request' the car be moved in such an ill mannered way? Shame on her! Let's hope she is an EW member and reads this! edited by souqcrawler on 24/02/2013

Prell is a shampoo and I've not seen it here. I would try washing your hair several times with a non-conditioning shampoo....and put a heavy conditioner on it inbetween shampoos. I mean slather on a deep conditioning conditioner, wrap your hair up in a plastic disposible shower cap and leave it for say - 30 to 60 minutes. Then shampoo again. This ought to help lighten up the colour.

Bless your DD! Poor thing, I suffered as a teen too, not severe acne but certainly troublesome. That was back in the day when poor nutrition or lack of good cleansing habits were wholly blamed for acne. I was very strict with my food intake and only ever drank water, while other - clear skinned teens- ate greasy fast food, chocolate and guzzled sodas. I shudder when I think of what I did to my skin back then, and I felt a real shame about it thinking people thought I wasn't cleaning my skin properly. One thing I learned many years later was its important to be gentle, treat skin as the sensitive covering it is. I actually have very sensitive skin! I've seen Proactiv in the Super Drug shop at MOE, haven't looked recently, but it has caught my eye at varying places around town.

Very silly question: Do employers want GCSE certificates or IB certificates where the exams were taken at a school here attested? (of course the certificates come from abroad - but the exams were sat at the school here in Dubai) If so where would one go to get them attested?

One of my daughters used the Proactive system and seemed to work well for her. My son was on Roaccutane when he was a teen (many years ago) which cleared him up forever. Poor kids its such a difficult time already - those preteen and teenage years.

Thanks big blue, do you know if they supply the rails as well? I'm going around to a few companines in my area to see if I can face to face with managers and persuade them that they shouldn't ignore ANY job if they want to stay in business!

DD spent her years at DESC, (she left 3 years ago). Older children were at other schools (before DESC existed). I'd say it was one of the healthiest schools I've ever seen.

Murraqabat? Maybe he got the name mixed up and that was the closest pronunciation? That's the only station that even partially resembles, in Dubai. That's a bit of a stretch, but I suppose under stress it's a possibility.

Never heard of anything like that, even remotely sounding like that, and I've been here just about as long as the sand!

These are ceiling hung rails... the type that many hotels use to hang pull across black out panels. I'm going to need industry quality rails, not the stuff one can buy at ACE or IKEA, and then I need curtain guys that know how to install them under the existing pelmets and behind the draperies. It's hard to explain. A fixit type company won't do. I appreciate your reply tho! SC

Yep, its true, and its the best deal in town for buying gold IMHO. Selection can obviously be limited, but they have enough so that any respectable shopper can find SOMETHING to buy! lol!

You don't have to spend a fortune, you'd be surprised what you can get for a couple hundred dirhams in the duty free shops, with no 'making charges' you are paying for just the gold. It makes a difference. Shops are open 24/7/365

What says 'Dubai' better than glittering 18k (or 21k) gold? Pick up a little Arabic motif charm or a pair of earrings at Duty Free on your way out. Best gift EVER!

Nice to be back, and a BIG thanks to the EW Admin crew who allowed me to get back on using my original username! Been trying really hard to remember when I was on last. I'm thinking it was probably 3 years ago or so. Lots of difficult water under the bridge now! (hence the Whew! - and a quick wipe of the brow!) lol
