Chelsea College from London come to Dubai and teach courses in interior design. I did one and a friend did a different one last October and they were very good - quite expensive but worth it. if you google chelsea college courses in middle east, I think you can find it. PF

Hi all, Just wanted to post to say that I noticed that Chelsea College are coming back to Dubai to teach in May this year and all I can say is thank goodness! I did the Decorating Your Villa course last year and it was very very good - great teacher and very modern equipment and I have managed to make a start on the flat. Only complaint was that the course wasn't long enough. They are offering discounts again so I will be signing up. They were at the education fair yesterday, haven't seen any other advertising yet though.

Hi Arrabella C, I have completed the first day of a Chelsea College short course at the Pullman Hotel today and it was so good! I saw that London College of Fashion were there too (I think they are sister Colleges??) and the fashion courses looked really good - the classes looked busy. I'm going to do another interior design course and then try and squeeze in a fashion course. All the tutors have come over from London which I was surprised about. Thank goodness there is something like this Dubai at the moment!

Absolutely terrible, the pits of humankind. The DM is saying she is braindead but they are not known to the be in the frontline of knowledgeable reporting. Wishing Yue Yue a full recovery.

Hi Ladies, I have just finished the first day of the Decorating Your Villa course and it was sssooooo good! I was really pleased how it was run and the class was busy. The tutor is really good and very professional. Also, The Pullman Hotel is gorgeous, never been in before. There's another course starting on Monday called Creating A Colour Scheme for your House and I checked and hte discount code will still work - I'm going to book! Highly recommend - have learnt a lot in a day. Brain is fried (need a big glass of wine ;)

Totally know what you mean abut getting the brain into gear! I need to get the flat redecorated so am happy with my course choice. I've heard all good things about Chelsea College but I guess that everyone has different perspectives. I have heard of Lyndall Fernie (SP?) before and heard fab reviews of her interiors work. Not sure about my course tutor but her portfolio is really good - I'll post after the course and you are right - sure they'll be back. am going to seize the day! PF.

Really m2g? oh no The thing is though - the interior design short courses have never been taught in Dubai before (from this London college) I think they'll be good, there is nothing else like it at the moment and I need to refresh my design skills! I'll let you know how it goes...;)

I'm not sure as need to check around the dates of my other course. That one does look good. I read that there's a really good tutor coming over, he writes a column for Grazia Middle East I think? not 100% sure. Yes, I got a discount for the interiors course and I got the same email as you I think - the one with the discount code on it. I'll let you know what fashion course I decide on! PF

Hi there - I have just booked an interior design based course with Chelsea College of Art and Design and I think they are connected to the London college of fashion. I did some research and both colleges are really highly rated in the UK and I think that the fashion courses have been taught here before and been really popular. I think i might do a fashion course too as they're on at the same time as the interior design courses - hope to meet you there!:)

Hi, I haven't done these courses in Dubai but I know that the Chelsea College of Art and Design has a brilliant reputation in London for Interior Design - one of my friends does their courses often. Great that there will be short courses in Dubai in this subject, think I will do the Decorating your Villa course - should be good fun! The INDEX exhibition is on at the same time so perfect timing. Hope to see you on the courses M-A!
