My 2 daughter's (year 6 and year 9) have been pupils at DBS for the past three years! Both are progressing well through the school and achieving excellent grades. The teaching staff are professional and dedicated and I have no worries or concerns about the education my children are receiving at DBS - in addition they are both members of the school swimming team and my older daughter also sings in the senior school choir and is actively involved in many of the performing arts activities. DBS is an excellent school and having witnessed personally the rude, bad mannered, inconsiderate and extremely arrogant behaviour of students from the perceived "best school" in Doha - I am happy that my daughters are not students there and attend DBS. Cannot comment on Sherbourne - I have heard both good and bad reports, but am sure that applies to every school. Good Luck with your decision!

My daughter's do not attend the perceived "best" school in Doha - and given the disgraceful behaviour and attitude of Doha College Secondary Students at a recent sporting event where they were competing against our school - I am delighted that my daughter's are not pupils at DC!! Manners and respect are definitely not taught there!!

I live in Beverly Hills 4 - who are owned and managed by the same company - and would not recommend any of their properties to anyone!! The maintenance is appalling - we often have to wait more than 2 weeks for light bulbs to be replaced - have had water pouring through the ceiling and it takes days for anyone to come!! I am still waiting for new furniture promised over a year ago!! We only renewed our contract as we were promised faithfully that our existing very poor quality furniture would be replaced - but to date have not received this and the company will not respond to emails, calls and the manager says he can do nothing!! Just beware they will promised you the earth to get your money!!! I will not be renewing my contract and would advise anyone to steer clear of any Al Asmahk property!

I have two daughter's in Years 3 and 6 at Doha Montessori & British School and cannot recommend it highly enough. They have both been made to feel so welcome since joining in September 2010 and have settled in so well it is like they have been at the school for years - their grades have already improved dramatically in just one term. The staff and teachers are exceptional and the facilities are new and modern. In my opinion the school seems to have an unjustified reputation of not being one of the "better" schools in Qatar and seems to receive much negative press from many people and indeed on this forum - which I can only assume is from parents who don't have children actually entrolled in the school. Definitely worth considering as equally as Doha College or DESS in my view!!
